hey! just here to say that i know what you mean about school and all. and i just want to let you know that despite what a lot of people think or say, junior year IS the hardest year, not senior year, and you have every right to complain!! and when it comes to those college level classes, i can't say 100% since i don't know your teachers specifically, but there's a running theme that in the beginning of the year those teachers purposefully overload students with work. it's mostly a way to make all of the people who don't actually care about the class drop out in the beginning. as it's always gone for me and every other college class i've heard about, once the beginning of the year is out of the way, the workload starts to settle down a bit. (as for your history teacher he sounds like a DICK omg im so sorry you have to deal with that man). my biggest tip for those classes is to get to know them for the first few weeks and get a rhythm down, and then take advantage of the time you have in class/other times throughout the school day to get as much out of the way before it's time to go home (ik you said that you don't get many breaks tho in school which sucks :( but hopefully as the year goes on more little moments open up here and there). and above all else, don't let yourself stop having fun! it's okay to set the work aside and just relax or make some time for yourself. there's a lot of work that goes into junior year, but (as corny as it sounds) you've gotta make some good memories too so that it's worth it in the end :)
ik junior year seems super scary, but you're not alone!! the beginning is always a lot, it's just about letting yourself go through the motions and finding out ways to make all of it work around YOU and who you are, not the other way around. you've got this, and i hope you feel better soon!! <3
this made me genuinely smile a little. i’m trying to get into a rhythm? i mean i had hw over the summer so it’s not really a homework thing. my older brother took some of the same courses as me and he told me the same thing about some of the teachers trying to sift through who’s just there for credits-i had the same experience last year because i did a few ap classes and the teachers tried to scare us out but i stayed and managed to do pretty good on the ap test. it’s mainly the fact i don’t like…want to deal with him? and sometimes i just think he likes to pick on me because i’m visually impaired. i try to give teachers a few weeks because i know it’s an adjustment for all of us and i don’t like judging people until i can get a good grasp of who they are, so by the off chance he does turn out somewhat okay i’ll take back my words.
i know junior year is like…tough. not only school wise but you have to think about college and while applying is probably tougher i’m like newer to this stuff? and it’s very stressful. but i think i’ll be fine. i e just gotta hold my own i think.
this was genuinely so sweet to reach out to me like this. you made my night/day so much easier. i’m sorry i didn’t reply faster, i was on a time crunch last night to finish some stuff up but seriously. thank you. this means tons.
