I wanna take this moment to shout out to all the kids with speech impediments. To all you with lisps, or issues with Rs, or stutters, or issues with nonverbalism, or anything else. To those who still have trouble with things you "should've grown out of by now."
I've been where you are. I had to spend years in speech therapy re-learning how to eat, drink, and speak. It's tough. It takes a long time. But it gets better. You don't have to change to be a good person. You don't have to change your speech to be successful. You don't have to change your voice to be kind, or strong, or important. You can already be all those things. It gets better. I have confidence in you.
