#1 Ramadan and Covid-19: Fortunate or Unfortunate?
Bismillah. All thanks to Allah we’re finally be able to meet the holy month this year. An opportunity for the wrong-doers to repent for their sins. A fantastic opportunity for the good-doers to collect the superiority this month has spoken of. Yet, there is this one thing that differs this year’s Ramadan and the others, The Quarantine.
Due to the pandemic of covid-19, we’re entrapped in our houses, without being able to go anywhere on our will. We may not be able to do prayers like we used to, Not being able to have iftar with friends like we used to, Or worse, even not being able to meet our parents like we used to. There are changes around the world, which significantly affect us in different ways.
What an unfortunate of us?
Ramadan, a gifted time for every moslem. It’s the call for every “believers” to fast as we can see from Al-Baqarah 183. Only those who truly believe in Allah, know that every thing happens according to His Might. Only those who truly believe in Allah, know that with every hardships, there is ease. Only those who truly believe in Allah, know that no hardship is given to a wrong person who can’t handle it.
Therefore, any problem we face at this moment is nothing but an opportunity for us to learn. To understand that 24 hours a day is long of a time, yet very, very hard to manage. To understand that we were gifted for these past years but we chose not to see it. To understand that we are nothing but a tiny human with no powers against Him.
Although it may differ with any previous Ramadan we’ve had so far, Let us hope that we still get to maximise our efforts and do not miss any chance we’re able to get.
