aight well ummm. using maiz for this!

1) maiz is a music/arts nerd,,, she's picked up playing multiple instruments as hobbies, and was planning on singing opera as a job, but eventually she lost her motivation and decided on something more "realistic". but when she gets closer to dalv, her motivation for music and art is sparked again :] i like to think they end up performing a duet at some point!!

she still fiddles around on the guitar and piano for fun sometimes

2) maiz can teleport thru shadows! its actually part of her job, to travel through the underground through shadows. this allows her to reach a lot of places quickly. and considering her job is to bring mail to places that don't have a mail post, it helps a lot.

it's also how she got into the dark ruins and ended up finding out that dalv lives there

3) after realizing that she had a crush on dalv, maiz basically Panicked(TM). with no clue what to do, she turned to letters to try and word-vomit how she felt. this mostly ended up with a huge pile of scrapped love-letters in her trash can DHJSKDHJKSHJK

eventually she ended up writing a shorter, more straightforward one and packed it into her bag to send to dalv... but every time she had the chance to give it to him, she chickened out . cuz yeah that's something i'd do LMFAOOO

so she just had that letter sitting there for a while before she ever gave it to him. and in any route where dalv is killed, she ends up never being able to give him the letter. (my bad the angst bug bit me)
