In Texas' 2018 Senate election, Beto O' Rourke (D) lost the popular vote by 214,921 votes. That same year, there was a disenfranchised population of 495,928 people in Texas. There were 147,727 African-Americans disenfranchised, which is approximately 6.17% of the African-American population. Their votes could've easily turned the election. We are being silenced. The only way to end this is for EVERY citizen eligible to vote so that we can get corrupt politicians out of office. By choosing not to vote, you are allowing voter suppression to happen. In the process, you are denying minorities representation in government. If you are ineligible to vote, talk to your friends, family, acquaintances, and followers about voting.
