A Hungry Kitten

~300 words

Main Character: Castle, Goyo, Flores, and Kitten (OC)

So a little bit of context first, importantly, you'll probably want to watch Flores's trailer first (it's about 3 minutes long) because this story takes place directly after it. Secondly; meet Kitten. They're a Non-Binary Neko (they use they/them) adopted collectively by they Rainbow ops. Key points about them, they're not an operator, they're seen more a little sibling or child to the ops, and they rarely ever speak. Okay, on to the story.

"Well, I am a man of my word," Flores said, turning back to the grill. "Let me just finish these, then we can talk."

"We're in no rush," Goyo assured him.

Kitten watched curiously as the old lady pulled a shiny coin out of the envelope as she walked away. They were about to say something when a scent caught there attention. They got on their tippy toes, and peaked over the counter at the grill.

Flores glanced back, noticing their hungry stare. He looked to Castle. "Can I get you something for the little one? On the house."

They looked to Castle with excitement upon hearing Flores offer. "They'll take anything with meat in it."

"I think I have something they'll like," he said, turning, and grabbing a tray with some kind of semi circular food on it. He handed one to Kitten, who examined it curiously. "They're beef empanadas. Careful, they're still hot."

Completely ignoring Flores's warning, they quickly scoffed it down, burning their mouth in the process. "You were warned," Castle said.

Goyo sighed. "Come on, I saw a vending machine back this way, I'll get you something cold to drink."

"And I'll stay with our new friend."

The two watched as Goyo, and Kitten wandered down the beach. Flores leaned against the counter. "So, are they an operator too?"

"Not exactly."

"Then what are they?"

"Family."

So, that's Kitten. I've been writing little fics about them for a while now, this one's been done for ages, it was just a matter of feeling like posting it. This was the first one about them that I wrote so it's seems fitting for it to be the first posted. Hopefully there'll be more, hopefully therell be more Ash too, I'm really struggling to finish anything I've started, but that's how it goes. Hope you enjoyed -Blue >^u^<

Castle Relationship Headcanons

🏰 A gentle man, Miles always makes sure you’re taken good care of by treating you as if you were a vase that could break in an instant

🏰 He’s very careful with you in every instance, whether it be whenever he takes you out on dates or just staying home, he makes sure you never get hurt

🏰 Though sometimes he can get frustrated at little things whenever they go wrong, he always calms down when you reassure him that everything will be alright

🏰 He also has a few self-image issues and seeks you for comfort in them, as he sometimes feels that you could deserve better than him

🏰 But he always cheers up whenever you hold him and tell him that he’s everything, if not more, than you’ve ever wanted in a lover

🏰 Is very big into cuddling, and loves whenever you ask if you could be the big spoon

🏰 He’s okay with some PDA, just as long as it’s hand holding or holding you from behind with his arms wrapped around your waist

🏰 Sometimes you’ll sneak in a few kisses to tease and rile him up, and he makes sure to get his revenge once the two of you are in private

🏰 Since you’ve heard a few other operators call him “papa bear” because he’s so kind with everyone, you’ve decided to nickname him “teddy”

🏰 Calls you “honey bee” in retaliation, but also because he thinks it’s really cute

🏰 Gets very defensive and protective over you, never letting any of the other operators or anyone in general speak badly on your name

🏰 Also because he lives by the whole “protect those who can’t protect themselves,” even after you’ve expressed that you appreciate his concern

🏰 Absolutely loves when you come with him to walk his rescue dogs, feeling like he’s found a new family with you and them

🏰 As he’s always curious about everything, he loves listening to you talk about any special interests or hobbies you have

🏰 He always stares at you with adoration and awe whenever you do, adoring whenever you ramble to him about everything

🏰 Miles remembers the first time he let you, and how cute you looked when you became embarrassed

🏰 When you apologized for rambling, he firmly reassured you that it was safe for you to speak about whatever you felt like, and that he was all ears for it

🏰 Miles also helps you with any doubts you may have in yourself, helping you learn to love yourself a bit more

🏰 The man is honestly a huge nerd in secret, and loves whenever you give him the time to talk about what he likes

🏰 You think it’s because of how long his parents had been married, and see how he wants something like that with you

🏰 Miles has even asked you one time when you were walking the dogs if you had ever thought about getting married

🏰 You told him you’d do it in a heartbeat, as you loved him more than anything in the world

🏰 The look of shock on his face when you said that made you laugh, but you were surprised once he lifted you up out of sheer joy, making you drop the dogs from their leash

🏰 The two of you then proceeded to chase after his dogs, laughing the entire time once you caught up to them

🏰 He’s been planning to marry you ever since, waiting for more time for the two of you to actually have a ceremony
