♡ #22 The Character you would want as a drinking buddy:
John Porter: I feel like I could have a laugh with him and he also has a dirty sense of humour so I feel we would get on quite well over a couple of drinks..
♡ #23 The character you would want as a fuck buddy
Daniel Miller: No strings attached, from evidence he could defiantly please me in that way...
♡ #24 the character you find most relatable
Harry Kennedy: He comes across as a normal, slightly geeky guy who likes to read books and would be quite happy to live a quiet life in a little cottage somewhere in the English country side, as this is something I would love to do myself, also he is slightly awkward around the opposite sex maybe from lack of experience, which is another reason why I find him most relatable to me...
Catching two birds with one stone today: A quick response to last night’s Pilgrimage premiere, and then today’s RA Challenge post.
Pilgrimage has premiered!
First of all: Hooray, the bush telegraph works pretty well! After the Pilgrimage premiere at Tribeca Film Festival last night, fans have been posting first impressions on Twitter. I have quickly put together a so-called “Moment” which bundles some of the tweets. There were many more, of course, but I have been too lazy to capture them all right now. Click below to see the compilation #Pilgrimage First Responses //platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Here are a couple of tweeps who were at the premiere and whom you might know:
DaphneHS – who is probably known to many of you for her many reports from the LLL SD in New York last year – has posted pictures and impressions on her Twitter HERE
Armitagebesotted gives a mini-review (see picture right) and has other comments HERE
Mooseturds has lots of tweets and pics HERE
Chrissyinwm caught Raymond de Merville speaking French HERE
Tweet review of the film by Terri HERE
And plenty, plenty more if you simply search for #pilgrimage
Getty Images provides a gallery of images taken at the premiere. I am trying to embed the gallery below. Should that not work as is usually the case , HERE is the link to the photo gallery.

In addition, Perry has already written a proper review of the film on her blog HERE. This is really interesting, long and insightful. Note: Regard the spoiler warnings!
The majority of the responses is positive – although everybody seems to think there is a lot of blood and violence in the film. Armitage receiving loads of praise, though. Well, I guess that is to be expected from his fans ;-) I can’t wait for the critics’ take on the film and on the performances. So far, Irish publications have not yet reported on the premiere (I am writing this at 8.30am Irish time, though, so maybe we have to be a bit more patient.)
Now for number 2 on my agenda, the RA Challenge:
RA Challenge ♡ #4: Something I have done because of RA
If you have looked through the list of questions for the challenge, you may have noticed that at #7, a specific question on what you have bought because of RA, will come up. Hence I am interpreting question #4 differently. It goes without saying that I have bought fan-related merchandise, purchased cinema and theatre tickets and travelled to premieres because of RA. I am a fan *duh* But there are other things that I have done which are related to being a fan, yet slightly less obvious.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say that my 6-week trip to New Zealand was because of RA. But while travelling there, I specifically asked for a particular detour, just because of my favourite chaRActer:
Gisborne, North Island, NZ
Proof I was there
Got the t-shirt
I really had to fight this through with my travel companion at the time. She thought Gizzy Town was a total waste of space. I disagree. It was a nice little town with some very interesting historical references alas, not of the medieval knight’s kind, that made it worth while visiting. You can read some more about it in my blog post from March 2015.
Have you *done* something because of RA, besides merchandise and attendance at events? I’d love to know!

RA Challenge
♡ #10 Saddest moment you’ve seen RA in.
Most of the chaRActers I’ve become attached to over the years have met with an unhappy ending - Lucas North, John Porter, Thorin Oakenshield, Guy of Gisborne, John Proctor.....I have my own AU endings for all of them. ;-)
So for this challenge - no deaths. Richard doesn’t have to play a chaRActer death for him to tear out my heart and stomp all over it. He doesn’t even have to say a word, it’s all in his eyes.
John Thornton - watching Margaret leave and desperately wanting her to look back at him.
Lucas North - on finding out that his ex wife Elizaveta is now his “handler.”
“You destroyed me!” Lucas to his former jailer, Alex Darshavin.
John Porter - down on his luck after years of living with the belief that he is responsible for the deaths of soldier mates.
That whole last scene between John and Elizabeth Proctor. Heart rending.
All gifs mine except for the last one.

♡ #18 The top three things on your to do list if you suddenly found yourself face to face with RA
1. Shake his hand (because he has the most amazing hands and I might have a little tiny fetish about hands, his in particular...)
2. If he is wearing his omega watch I’d ask him if I could take a look at it and have a fiddle.. (Obviously I would first explain to him I work in a jewellers and I am completely fascinated by all Watches, especially his as I’ve never been able to find that exact one anywhere.. And I'm not just a really crazy fan who wants to see his watch!)
3. Just have a boring conversation (I too would like to hear his views on Brexit), (obviously I would also like him to give me a kiss and a cuddle, maybe after our chat...?, Can it be arranged?)

#11 Something you wish hadn’t happened in context with RA
In one word. Twitter. I’m not a fan of it myself, it’s either a good fit for you or it’s not, and imho I don’t think it’s been a good fit for Richard. He started out with the best of intentions, to keep it light, have fun, but it’s never felt to me that he has been entirely comfortable, especially being the self-confessed people pleaser that he is. I am quite happy if he just settles for the occasional comment promoting his current project, and sending his Christmas message, although I confess I do miss the silliness.............
......and there were some gorgeous selfies.......

♡ #9 Funniest moment you’ve seen RA in.
Whenever "funniest moment” comes up in a challenge, this is my first response - Geraldine is going through her pile of bridal magazines and to me it seems as though it’s Richard sitting there giggling at her, not Harry. I love it, it makes me laugh every time. I don’t blame him, Dawn is very funny. (The Vicar of Dibley)
I love his wonderful belly laugh in this Impressionists behind the scenes snippet (wish I could slip the audio of this in here)........
Then there are the interviews over the years where he has been charming and funny - too numerous to mention, but here are some I found in my gif stash......
He was worried he might “do a Mr Bean” when he met Prince William at the London AUJ premiere.
Cheating on the chair race with Marlise Boland......
His response to the dwarf calendar question during the Popcorn Taxi interview....
All gifs are mine.

♡ #14 Favourite Villain
Guy of Gisborne again...
Although I don't really believe he is a Villain, more of a mis-understood man who makes friends and falls in love with all the wrong people... (apart from Allan, I liked their friendship...) It also doesn't help when he tries to be evil and just ends up looking dead sexy....
So if you where to take Guy out of the Villain department I would probably choose Heinz Kruger because I’m totally in love with those glasses and the suit...
