Watching Raavanan (2010) how come Aishwarya rai's beauty doesn't intimidate Prithvi's 😂 Because they both look so damn beautiful OMG!! PRITHVIRAJ SUKUMARAN YOU REALLY ARE A PRETTY BOY !! Their combo face cards are crazy in this movie 🔥🔥 even though they didn't have much screen together but when they were together they really matched well as newly married couple (the fact that prithvi was just in his late 20s here he was really just a baby, he was around 27 y.o in this one and Aishwarya was 9/10 years older than him she was 36/37 here and look the same age no problem lol) Actually Aishwarya have awesome chemistry both with Vikram and Prithvi not gonna lie.
(Funny because they also simultaneously producing this movie in Hindi with Abhishek Bachchan playing Vikram's role while Vikram played Prithvi role and Aishwarya didn't have the same intense chemistry with her own husband the way she did with Vikram in tamil version 😂)
Them shuffling the role around like no big deal making me think about the third version, perhaps a telugu version where this time it's Prithvi playing Aishwarya's role as the one who was abducted by Veera because he's no less beautiful and Prabhas can definitely play the crazy Veera role (Salaar Raavanan AU where you at please oh good author in this fandom at least a fanfic of this AU) I mean look at the material Prithviraj definitely can play the Raghava (ragini male version name 🤣) beauty that this unhinged Veeraiya would fall for
and Vikram could play Prithvi's role in tamil version again 😂 please Prashanth/Rajamouli I need the third version we can tweak some part of the story to suit the new narrative come on now.
Kalingattuparani
A parani is particular kind of Tamil literary composition which eulogises a warrior who has killed a thousand male elephants on the battle - field. A curious thing about this genre is that it is named after the vanquished foe.
Kalingattuparani is the most famous of all paranis. Composed by Jayamkondar, the poet laureate of Kulottunga Chola, it depicts the Chola invasion of Kalinga. It celebrates the triumph of Karunakara Tondaiman, the lord of Vandaiyar, a general of Kulottunga. Karunakara Tondaiman defeated the Kalinga king Anantavarman and planted a pillar of victory in Kalinga. However, we should remember that these are literary works produced under the patronage of rulers to appease them.
I would like to present a short extract from this great work used in the 2010 film Raavanan:
Let us begin the war Let us begin the war Soldiers on both camps shouted War cries reverberated like the roar of the ocean! Charge the cavalry here! Send the elephant division there! These war cries went on increasing!
They stringed their strong bows Rending all the directions by their noise! In the battle-field War cries struck the world dumb!
Both the armies dashed against each other Like the confrontation of two oceans; The charging of the cavalries Like the confrontation of foaming waves!
Warring elephants dashed against each other Like the clash of the mountains! Chariots charged against each other Like the clash of the clouds!

Raavanan (2010)
this is what i call cinema
I have always wondered who would end up killing me. Shoot me... and in a few minutes the turmoil and the suffering, everything will be snuffed out. Aim here and in an instant, memory, love, desire, your very life, all gone in one go. Painless... Looking at you, i’ll die contented, with a smile on my face. - Veera RAAVANAN (2010) Directed by Mani Ratnam
