“Oh, don’t worry about it. I’m not here to start any conversations, Rabastan. In fact, you were just in my way, and I couldn’t exactly shove you out of the way, could I?”

for someone of alecto’s familial ties and status, one would think she knew how to behave herself in a social setting. but that was the thing; being deprived of the things she wanted the most often made her fight for them. looking at rabastan lestrange, for example, she flashed back to the months of fighting and the threats. the arguments that brought her makeup running down her cheeks and her body shaking, the lingering threat of doom that would follow her into her own house come that summer.
looking at rabastan, alecto realised that she hadn’t changed in the least. if anything, alecto was more misbehaved. less afraid of consequences. and still very much in loathing of the boy. that prat, she muttered in her mind as her stare bored into him. the hate was irrational, but that was the thing about anger; it always had unintended victims. @rabstrange

Rodolphus felt the beginnings of adrenaline in his veins as he stepped through the door. He was almost surprised how empty the little corner of Diagon was, but inside the little shop there were more than enough people to play with if burning books got boring. Probably deserved it anyway, willing to browse through muggle 'literature'. The people in the shop had yet to notice them, only a barely heard 'w-welcome, I'll be r-right with you' from the back when the bell had chimed. He raised his wand at the back shelf with a whispered expulso. He smirked as all eyes focused towards them. "Do we have your attention now?"
