Something about Nat [and Travis] failing to find anything to hunt during the winter. Something about the hunger and desperation leading them to consume Jackie’s body. Something about Natalie looking extremely distraught the day after, literally rocking herself as she stares at Jackie’s remains. Something about Nat taking it upon herself to honor Jackie’s body and give her a sincere thank you and apology because maybe this wouldn’t have happened if Nat was able to successfully hunt. Something about that white moose suddenly appearing out of nowhere; the perfect solution for everything. Something about Natalie risking her life for that moose but it ends up drowning. It’s so near but so far. It’s back to square one.

There’s something there. I’m trying to figure it out.
