｡✧｡･ﾟ it’s that time of the year again were I , lalo , starts bothering you all again : What Classic fairytale could you see your oc/s being ( unfortunately ?) part of — what role would they play? ( are they the unfortunately princess in the tower? the dues ex machina fairy god mother? etc etc ) — & if there is any, is there a subversion to the ‘trope’ , did red ridding hood have a gun all along?

A little fun fact about my self is that I absolutely adore fairytales ✨ (Absolutely had a phase as a kid too where I was so into looking up all the darker versions of them too lol). So naturally this is something I have thought about a lot actually! In fact I have several AUs of different fairytales! Let's just talk about some main ones though.

So despite there being a lot of unintentional connections between Apple and Snow White I actually have a pretty solid Cinderella AU!

Apple: You know I actually have pretty regular sized feet, maybe even a little big. How is this going to prove anything? Reborn: Don't worry about it :3

The things that change in this AU? There aren't really any step-mothers or step-sisters (that may change). Apple and Reborn meet sooner than the ball (Apple is still a peasant). Reborn knows who she is right away when he sees her at the ball but pretends he doesn't because she acts like she doesn't know him. And also Reborn isn't a prince! He is an advisor/private Tutor to the prince (Tsuna!) and the ball is actually so that Tsuna can find a spouse! But funny enough he's not the one who gets married in the end

Tsuna: So all that trouble and stress and I wasn't even the one to get married in the end 🙃

And that's all I'll share about that AU for now!

In other scenarios though I imagine Apple as more of a supporting character lol.

Even if this love ends in a heartbreak. It's worth it.

🎀Kurumi: The Little Mermaid. Specifically, the original/darker version, where she fails in winning the prince's love despite saving his life. She's also unable to kill him (in order to return to the sea), or even just have the courage to communicate the truth to him. In the end, she jumps into the sea & turns into sea foam.

I think it's just a perfect role to showcase lack of courage to communicate important things about herself like her thoughts and feelings, always accommodating for other people with a smile. The mermaid's yearning and curiosity for humans can also parallel with Kurumi, deep down, wanting a different (more normal) life than what she was born unto.

🍎Kana: Maleficent. For this one, the version I'm thinking of is a bit of a mix between the Dis/ney version and the live action version. The latter added a lot of depth to Maleficent's character that I'm very fond of, especially the platonic bonds&/found family >>>shallow romance aspect where they made her forehead kiss to Aurora count as the real true love's kiss (instead of the Prince's LMAO). But that would be too "good" to apply to Kana, so I'd still mix that in with a bit of the "evil" the Dis/ney version had.

It also made me think of this song "Merm/aid The/ater" (Ro/yal Sca/ndal). The ending isn't as tragic here, but it also shows a good amount of the internal struggles that Kurumi has.

In this case, I'm lowkey projecting the Aurora role in Kana's eyes towards Kurumi & Yui. The same way Maleficent wasn't that attached to Aurora at first, this would also apply to Kana's relationship with YuiRumi. Despite what I've shown of Kana so far in this blog, she actually initially had malicious intentions towards them. This then developed to the bond that you see now.

While I was researching about the Little Mermaid to recheck what I remember, it turns out that the original author retconned the tragic ending at some point? So when the mermaid turned into sea foam, she was then resurrected into another form.

If I could add Maleficent!Kana into Kurumi's tragic Little Mermaid AU, I'd make it so that this powerful entity that is Kana, manages to eventually resurrect her dearest Kurumi. Kind of like mixing the story of Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty here hahaha

It's easy to tell that he wasn't vibrating with emotions; it's empty as if he's not impressed by these results. One hand on top her noggin with a single pat — There comes another, and it wouldn't end by how repetitive he is in doing it over and over.

His pats now turned into karate chops. They didn't hurt since no energy behind them-
