🌟 Where do you get inspiration for your writing?

a lot of inspiration comes from the sort of archetypes i associate with my muses (such as death and the moon for koku, both as the tarot but also as more general theming), but beyond that a lot of inspiration has come from other media that reminds me of her whether it's a video game character or the lyrics of a song!

a bit more generically for kny also is admittedly tb, as demons in kny were based on vampires and thus i often go to vampire lore also

03: i generally prefer Some form of sound, such as my tendency of having a radio playing in the living room. however, it does vary between actual playlists i've made for koku or what amounts to generic autoplay--but i have a bad habit of getting distracted or mind wandering if its just silence haha

04: for koku, it's the motifs/themes i've based her character on. there's the source material obvs, and notes from the data book/that prequel from before kny, but also thematic archetypes such as her tarot correspondences, mysticism around death and the moon, and the general dichotomy of stagnation vs evolution, humanity vs immortality, and thought vs instinct

i could talk generically about meeting ppl and getting to talk to ones who had become friends for a time but honestlyyyyy nothing is going to top meeting you babe uwu i likely would have stopped writing ages ago if it wasn't for your presence and encouragement and thus i wouldn't have created koku as she is now for example--it's not a stretch to say everything that exists here is thanks to you my love

i associate you with MEEEEEE and i'm super proud of that. you're such a wonderful writing partner, and i appreciate that you build upon my chaos so well. to me, we are two halves of a beautiful whole, we are incomplete without each other's writing and likewise neither of us can shine quite as bright without the other making us brighter. also bull loves u. i love u. u are so fun to write with, thank you for everything.

have you ever made a playlist for a single scene? uwu

for me it's usually not often re: scenes--usually i make playlists per muse, instead: i.e. i'll have a series of songs that remind me of koku, or songs that remind me of ningyō, etc, though this is something i rarely do these days. i'll usually just have a particular song on repeat until i'm finished writing the scene

however i have ended up with a selection of songs i play whenever koku and akaza are having their Moments uwu
