Translator’s notes

I can never not be amused whenever I translate Iori’s cards. His tsundereness always finds a way to make me smile. As expected of the perfect tsundere! Let me just silently cry over how much Iori admires and look up to his brother. Even if the both of them came up with the same idea without knowing, Iori will always say that Mitsuki’s idea is the best --!! Which also makes Mitsuki’s plight over his insecurities regarding his position as a big brother even more painful because that’s the complete opposite of how Iori feels!! He’s your number one fan and he’ll fight anyone for the spot! Now let me close my eyes and imagine Iori flipping his hair in a haughty way while boasting about his big brother. Okay so I’m a bit stuck on a spot in this translation. In the last line, Tsumugi asked Iori to approach 眥さん but I searched high and low for the meaning but couldn’t find it. Any help will be appreciated! Edit: I saw the wrong kanji in the chat. It was supposed to be 皆 and not  眥. Thanks @yotsutama!!

(1) I can sleep better at night knowing that Tamaki and I likes the same constellation for the same reason.  (2) I was also crying like a turtle whenever Tamaki mentions about the facility kids and his sensei. I’m not sure if he does it in a lot of cards but I am just clenches fist to hold in feels whenever he did.  (3) I love how Tamaki is scared of the kids being traumatized because of Sougo but when he talked about wanting to discuss with his sensei over Sougo, I think of a boyfriend introducing his boyfriend to his parent by mouth. And what cracks me up is that Tamaki could lay out 10001 things that makes Sougo scary but his sensei would just be like, ‘Oh, he sounds lovely!’ which would make Tamaki internally scream in his head and externally try to convince his sensei like, ‘no that wasn’t what I am trying to tell you!!!’ and get chuckled at. It’s precious.   I think he mentioned that his sensei reminds him of Sougo too?? So I reaaaa--lly want to see how the talk went! LMAO

Translator’s notes (1) The phrase used here was うねうねやつ so it could either mean wavy or something that is twisting. Since those doesn’t seem right for me, I used ‘ twisted ‘ instead. Tamaki’s vocabulary still stuns me, as always! (2) Okay. This one did confuse me ‘ うさぎっぱいモンスターっつったのにいおりんこそなんだと思ってんだ ’ because this is the first time I’ve came across こそなんだ. I went with what I THINK fits best but I’m thinking that I might be wrong so if anyone knows the actual phrasing for this, help would be very much appreciated!! ;O; (3) The above is fixed thanks to @yotsutama!  As always, I find it cute how defensive Iori gets over small animals and cute things when usually he’s like ‘ i-it’s not that i care about them too much at all! ‘. That’s our local tsundere idol done well.

(1) Tamaki: I can’t really tell if there are bones in thick meat, for example. Tamaki: I wonder if heaps of food will come out. Tsumugi: Like so-called food in the manga, isn’t it?
