We got two birthdays to celebrate today! Everyone, let's wish a happy birthday to this cute little rabbit (but not as cute as Pengitan MY FAVORITE next to Latte), Rabirin from Healin' Good Pretty Cure and the antagonist turned ally, Carol Malus Dienheim!
Let's start with Rabirin~!
Rabirin is one of the main fairies within Healin' Good Pretty Cure. She comes from the Healing Garden and lived peacefully with her friends Pegitan and Nyatoran. When the enemies known as the Byogens attacked, the three of them were forced to flee into the human world in order to search for the legendary Pretty Cure to save their home! Along the way, Rabirin and her friends met Nodoka Hanadera who was helping their friend, Latte. Rabirin thought Nodoka wouldn't fit to be her partner since she dreamed of her partner being a doctor, but that would change when Rabirin saved Nodoka from an enemy attack! As Nodoka asked if there was anything she could do to help, Rabirin was took a liking to her selflessness and chose her as her partner, allowing Nodoka to become Cure Grace!
Personality wise, Rabirin is an energetic little rabbit with a strong sense of justice. She's very impulsive and high-spirited, leading her to run into trouble and make a lot of mistakes. She can also be a huge glutton, strict, and stubborn. However, she has issues with expressing her own feelings because she's afraid of being judged by people. But with Nodoka as her partner, Rabirin learns to open up!
Rabirin is voiced by Kakuma Ai who's known for voicing Mashiro Nijigaoka from Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure, Rosaria from Genshin Impact, Isuzu Sento from Amagi Brilliant Park, Edelgard von Hresvelg from Fire Emblem Three Houses, one of the Hunters in Monster Hunter Wilds, Mokoron from Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, Makomo from Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba-, Sakurako Utazumi from Blue Archive, and so much more!
Gonna be honest. I don't like Rabirin as much as I should. I mean- I like bunnies and Rabirin is right up my alley, but...but Pegitan...Pegitan looks like Piplup from Pokemon and as someone who grew up with the Diamond and Pearl games, I saw Pegitan and was like "GASP YOU LOOK LIKE PIPLUP YOU'RE MY FRIEND NOW!" But that doesn't mean I hate Rabirin! I like her, she's just eh in comparison to my BABY PEGITAN yes I'm biased lol- I still have those Pegitan and Rabirin plushies I mentioned in Nyatoran's bday post too lol.
Okay I admit that is cute.

Next, let's talk about Carol!
Carol Malus Dienheim is the main antagonist of the third season of Symphogear, Senki Zesshou Symphogear GX. She's an alchemist and has been alive for a LONG time with the use of homonculi to survive.. After watching her father be burned at the stake for being considered a witch, Carol vowed to honor her father's wishes and learn the secrets of the world with the use of alchemy and eventually dissect and remake the world in her image. After being defeated, she sacrificed her body to one of her homonculi so she could live. In the fifth season, it's revealed that homonculi had been working to revive Carol with the use of AI to copy Carol's personality and residue memories the homonculus had of Carol that were within the body, allowing Carol to come back as an ally to help the protagonists!
Personality wise, Carol is a sort of nihilistic personality, viewing everything as a pawn for her goal of dissecting the world and obtaining forbidden knowledge. Her curiosity as an alchemist is driven into overdrive and twisted into a vow for vengeance against humanity for murdering her father. She's willing to sacrifice anyone and everything for that goal, even her henchmen and her homonculi if they ever step out of line. She's a cold and calculating warrior on the battlefield that has loads of patience. Although she's still a big arrogant jerk, she has some amount of respect for the heroes of the story and knows when she's been beat.
Carol is voiced by Inori Minase who's known for voicing a Focalors/Furina in Genshin Impact, Sophia Ascart in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, Itsuki Nakano from The Quintessential Quintuplets, Altina Orion in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, Rem in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Priscilla in Rune Factory 5, the female protagonist of Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, Shoko Makinohara in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, and so much more!
Ah Carol. She may be a VERY boring villain, but she's one of my favorite villains in the franchise! Her alchemy based attacks are so colorful, majestic, and powerful! Her main transformation weapon is a harp that becomes her wings and she can use the strings to puppet people to her will! I love how cool she is and the specific line that made me love her even more is "A miracle, you say? Not at all. I am the murder of miracles!" from the fifth season. For context, Carol HATES miracles since they never saved her and her father when she was younger so seeing how the protagonists kept beating her up while believing in miracles pissed her off SO MUCH that she was like "I'LL MURDER ALL MIRACLES!" and I'm like "THAT'S MY BESTIE GO FOR IT I LOVE YOU PLATONICALLY!" Out of all of Carol's songs though, I prefer Sforzando no Zankyou since it's the first song that introduced Carol to me when I watched a Symphogear clip on YouTube. I just think Carol is so cool guys- like- the way she blows stuff up is like- AWESOME-
