the struggle of being a landoscar fan like,, i like oscar more than lando but i also like them as a duo more than i like either of them individually, so while i want oscar do better than lando for himself, i need them to stay balanced and race fairly and be supported equally by the team so that their dynamic stays positive and healthy.

My (George concerning) race thoughts 💭 (so that I can pretend this race didn’t happen)

I mean like in terms of result p5 is still really good!!! and we knew that a) Lando was coming through b)the redbull is much stronger in high speed than on rear limited tracks so no surprise there, so realistically I expedited a p4… and let’s not forget we are the only top team without any (major/ official) updates so therefore p5 is still very good!!!

I am honestly surprised that Charles was soo strong on the Hard Tyre (and that we were so weak) and Charles did really good and deserved the podium.

What I am more surprised about is that when we were on the medium like the Tyre was fine from my perspective also compared to Charles… and the hard was horrendous, which was really surprising. But what I don’t understand is why Mercedes didn’t even attempt a long run in fp3… like why take the risk when you changed the complete set up over night and didn’t get a long run the day before…

And don’t get me started on the seats being hot again…

I think george did damage limitation and again p5/p6 overall is still a good result and given the car we were 4th fastest today in race pace and you can’t tell me otherwise

Onto Miami and let’s hope our updates maybe come a week earlier… even if it’s a sprint… bcs that car can’t just run on hopes and dreams from Kimi and george

And of course p5 streak lives on 🩵

Race Though Most Boring Race of the Season Edition

On lap 65 something finally happens but this time it’s interesting with a VSC

Race Thoughts: Monaco GP 2023

- FIRST AND FOREMOST: MY BELOVED FRENCH BOY IS ON THE PODIUM. ESTIE BESTIE P3!!!!

- Lewis P4! Yay! + fastest lap! Merc called the strategy well and he drove well too so I'm happy

- George actually had a really good idea with the switching cars thing but he was defo panicking a bit too much especially coz there was a very significant margin between him and Charles by the end (and between him and lewis too which meant slowing down would have been a bad idea). But the thought was very clever. Stops mercedes losing a place AND lewis would have got to keep his earned place too. He's certainly a talented strategist in the car

- omg the absolute chaos in the rain. I was settling in for the whole thing to be a bit boring after lap 1 but good the time in the rain actually was so fun (but omg that incident between george and checo made me bolt up right that seemed very scary, like they were going slow but still. I loved the rain section but like I cant deny it was getting a little scary with how many incidents were happening)

- Along with yesterday's genuinely exciting quali session, my first monaco gp was personally a success and so I feel like I will end up being a monaco apologist because this was probably the most entertaining race weekend of this year so far. (Australia was fun too but again a lot of chaos)

The problem with Elizabeth Olsen and not Chris Hemsworth or Chadwick Boseman is the later two are the same race as their characters but Elizabeth Olsen isn’t. It would be like casting a white actress to play Storm and a Latina actress to play Jubilee

You think it's wrong for me to fancast Doctor Doom with a Spaniard because you consider an ethnicity made up of Arab, Jewish, Visigoth, and Basque as "white" and "Romani aren't white"...?But Halle Berry, a half-white American who did nothing culturally significant in her performance of her East African Goddess-Queen character ISN'T classist, colorist, and racist negligence because "a Black actor played a Black character."

Also, a Latina COULD play Jubilee because there are millions of Chinese Latinas. AND bringing up Jubilee just shows you can't recognize Southeast Asians when you see them, so you didn't know, nor care, that the X-Men movies casted a Vietnamese girl to play Chinese.

Because you CARE so much about culture of the actor shining through in the characters... As long as it's your ethnicity.

If Marvel is "problematic," it has been problematic since 1964.

I asked for an equally Jewish Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Magneto fancast. I'm sorry that your people are largely Christianity, Islam, or Hindu-based religion. Go find two Jewish Romani actors to play the Twins and stop playing that "we faced unique persecution" violin as if Hitler didn't throw you both into the fire. If you feel you are owed more respect from the MCU and the fanbase, do the bare minimum and respect others. Because there will be NO selective progressivism. There will be no compartmentalized wokeness.
