"Thats... a lot of money he's been taking." Or a lot of gold rather. Lucifer was going to be very very angry. Which would certainly land the Baron in trouble. Now he just needed to get to his butler.

@radi0activesmile asked: ❛ i’d like to be a part of whatever’s next… if you’ll have me. ❜
What comes next, huh? Alastor's guess was as good as his. Shit, probably better-- Angel's mind had a tendency to get stuck in the past. And even when it wasn't, snap judgements hardly made for the best future plans.
But, Angel's focus wasn't there, it wasn't on the future, on the what if's-- it was on Alastor's commitment. To hell with whatever lurked ahead, Alastor wanted to be by his side.
Was he hearing the words coming out of his mouth?? Why did that sound like a PROPOSAL???
"You-- y' betta' not be expectin' anythin' like, grand or nothin' outta- me-- like, whatever's next? Fuck. Uh-- I ain't really, like, thought that far--"

"Ignore that thing, my dear~ It has no eyes."
"That's true! It does have no eyes!"

It really was exactly like on TV.
Tenna had hoped that perhaps it would be otherwise. Hell, at least as far as he could tell based on the broadcasts he received, had a propensity for theatrics. But the truth of the matter was that the old hotel had been spared of the brunt of previous exterminations, and so too the darkners within it. The angels did not generally spare more than a passing glance for the decrepit hotel on the edge of the city; not when there was a veritable wealth of targets just inside its borders.
Every year, Tenna and his staff have no choice but to crowd around their own TVs and watch the broadcasts coming in. It's all that ever gets shown on Extermination Day, with all usual broadcasting paused in favor of live commentary; they have no choice but to pay attention. In previous years, there'd been some mild entertainment to be had in any particularly slapstick deaths, small snorts of suppressed laughter made with the knowledge that they were all relatively safe in their obscurity.
This year is different. This year, the next extermination arrives six months early, just as promised. This year, the hotel where all their light forms reside is viewed through the clinical lens of VoxTek drones on high; the uncanny sight renders everyone mute. This year, they have no choice but to put their faith into the hotel's handful of flesh-and-blood inhabitants.
...Which mainly means Alastor. Tenna is all too willing to do so for the sake of the survival of himself and his studio. He reasons that if Alastor could bridge the gap between the dark and light itself—what could stand up to that? He certainly seemed like he didn't fear anything.
Perhaps he should've known better. Perhaps he did, and just wanted to believe otherwise. Either way, Alastor's barrier falls, and the demon himself disappears not long after. The battle quickly forces its way into the hotel, tearing up the lobby and knocking Tenna's light form from the table; the dark world shakes in echoed reverberations.
He's still in the middle of trying to reassure his employees (and himself) when the great beam of light cleaves straight through the hotel itself, and everything collapses.
...
Tenna comes to unsure if he's perceiving the dark world or the light. Maybe it's a bit of both. He can't see a damn thing, but the weight on his body feels like rubble. His antenna feel... bent, wrong, broken. The city's background radioscape has been reduced to a quiet murmur. Try as he might, the broadcasts of Pentagram City sound and look like mostly static to him.
Static electricity curls around his antenna as he tries to push a weak signal out—hardly more than an SOS, really. Anyone, anything—darkner or lightner, he'll take it.
Just don't leave him out here...!

Alastor, Ryuko, and maybe Abel:
@radi0activesmile "So lost without me, hmmm?"
"You know it, old man." Vaggi smile up to him before yanking the stag to her in a bone crushing hug.
"Good to have you back...don't ever do that shit again."

"I need a new knife." She's staring up at him with that big ol pleading eye-- knowing full well she had plenty of murderous implements at her disposal. Niffty simply enjoyed getting gifts from Alastor-- and she made him gifts in kind.
Roach crowns, rat necklaces-- the creativity the little demoness possessed was truly something to behold. She certainly made one man's vermin another man's vestments.
Going out shopping with Alastor was also fun-- she loved watching demons flee in fear, all while she would get to ride on his shoulder
Word association! Basket.
"Hole." Listen, his brain was weird, okay?
