Radical.FM is another Internet radio app attempting to compete with Pandora and Spotify, but this one is trying something risky: users of the app are allowed to listen to any music as much as they want for free and without commercials, but are asked to donate money. The app launched on Tuesday with 25 million songs, and so far Founder and CEO Thomas McAlevey is still optimistic. On Radical.FM’s website, it states, “At Radical.FM we believe everyone is entitled to a great musical experience, even the unemployed and working poor.” Certainly, this is a very noble cause, but many have reasons to believe it won’t work.
