💫What is your favourite fact about this character and why?

I love how her birthday not only shares mine, but is the day before the bombs fell. I'll be a little self indulgent here, but Mac sort of ignores the 23rd of October and makes sure she gets to celebrate her birthday every year after he learns when it is.

🌾 Describe your OC through the eyes of someone absolutely head-over-heels in love with them

Welp! You know who's gonna be talking then! :D

Em? Heh. Don't let her size fool you. She's got more fire than anyone I've ever met. Her eyes bring a warmth you didn't know you needed, and to be honest, I think they're directly connected to her heart and soul.

Speaking of her heart, she most definitely wears it on her sleeve, which can be dangerous here, but I think the people in the Commonwealth need a person like her. She's here to listen, she's here to help, and she just wants to make the place better.

I uh. 👉👈 I'm really grateful to have met her. Even moreso that she chose me. Me. I don't deserve her kindness. No one does. And she didn't deserve the life she had before she came here. But I didn't think I'd be happy to see someone really come to life out here. To see her so happy in the midst of these ruins... It's beautiful.

🍁 Where does your OC go when they need to have some time to themself? Would they ever have their own “comfort corner” filled with all the things they like? Do they have a favourite spot outside that feels like its theirs and theirs alone?

Em typically just needs to be in a separate room for a bit. So she will go lie down if everyone is in the living room, or she will go sit on the couch if there's no one there. She doesn't have a go-to for comfort items or snacks, but she does curl up with a blanket more often than not. And Dogmeat tends to show up cause animals can sense sadness, tenseness, etc, so she will always pet him.

She doesn't have a favorite spot outside in particular. Em likes to just be outside sometimes. She does like to stargaze at the top of the screen at Starlight with Mac. They push the lounge chairs together and cuddle under a blanket together with snacks and smooches. It's one of her favorite things to do with him that doesn't require much talking if they don't want to.

fanfic writer friday! were there moments when you wouldnt stop crying while you were writing?

Oh hi, friend!

Absolutely. Some of the more emotional scenes move me to tears, and there was a small scene I wrote for a friend where Em died of old age and when she "woke up", she was so surprised and flattered that Mac (who died the day before) was waiting for her. Lucy was there too. Em was fully ready for Mac to just go with Lucy, but he told her "I have two hands, and after fifty plus years of marriage? I'm never going to just cast you aside."

Made everyone cry. The whole time I was writing it, I was either crying or right about to. It was a beautiful scene to me, and it was one of the most emotional ones I ever wrote.
