I’m sure my team would, although I’d imagine they’d be more irked with me taking an abrupt leave above all else. After all, I am head of my team, and without their leader our research would be for naught.Why would anyone miss me?

Fury: What is a word/phrase that you dread to hear?
A notice of failure sends my heart into anxiety merely thinking about it. However, I can’t say that it would be the worst. Perhaps - p-perhaps a certain voice would send my gut clenching. It wouldn’t be a word or phrase. It would be a certain voice--stop.-STOP.-STOP I DID ALL WITHIN MY POWER TO KEEP YOU FROM HARM! STOP CALLING OUT MY NAME! STOP CRYING FOR ME! YOU'RE NOT REAL. YOU'RE DEAD! YOU'RE DEAD!
((because i officially changed up my cecil design it is on my about page hi)) Cecil flopped down outside of the lab, huffing. He was just a touch too big to fit inside, and he was too lazy to change back now. It was way too hot. But he had a date with Carlos! And the scientist had been neglecting their dates! Cecil bonked his head against the door, staring at it with a pout and waiting for Carlos to answer.
Unaware of the impending date, Carlos had spent his afternoon tending to his usual bouts of torture science, his attention enveloped within the work he spent so much time with. The present heat wave that plagued the small town affected him little, the scientist nestled with the air conditioning lowering the temperature to a bearable level. With an abrupt blare at the door, Carlos nearly dropped the clipboard in his arm. An annoyed grunt left him as he stormed to the front door, ready to give an earful to the late understudy that he was sure had finally arrived.
"-about time you-" he began, swinging open the door. Yet the sight before him caused him to freeze up, golden eyes widening. "…Cecil?"
((wait i totally forgot about my m!a)) Cecil sort of hovered about the edges of the lab, certainly not wanting to bother Carlos, but... Hesitantly, he came forward (once he was sure the scientist wasn't doing anything that required perfect concentration), and tapped his shoulder with one hand, his pupils already blown wide.
Having been occupied with the presence of a certain possible virus on his hands, Carlos had little time to focus on much else. In fact, so engulfed was he within his work that he nearly jumped onto the table as his shoulder was tapped, abruptly whipping around while clasping a vial of thick, green liquid.
"C-Cecil!" he exclaimed, exhaling as he lifted his goggles. "-I wasn’t, ah, expecting you. What do you want?”
