"FLOATING NAPA"

Barcelona-based Cinta Vidal Agulló says she's been drawing since she was a kid, and started apprenticing with one of Europe's most prestigious scenography ateliers at only 16. @UrbanNation_Berlin says that, resonant of the surrealist world of M.C. Escher, Vidal Agulló's work "delves into the notions of how the perspective of an individual may not be as it seems" in relationship to the surrounding environments. While she is best known for her acrylic paintings on wood panels, these concrete blocks were painted for @RADNapa in 2017 along the @NVWineTrail in Napa, California, with the assistance of @Helena_S_G .  @cinta_vidal/

Lincoln @ Soscol in Napa, Ca

Local Napa native @Elle who is now based in Los Angeles, NY and Melbourne was invited home to paint this train that is currently sided near Lincoln Ave and Soscol.

The mural is a multicultural depiction of several women merged together with a backdrop of vibrant colors and patterns inspired by Mexican art and culture.

"ELLE considers her paintings to be poetry. She creates stories by collaging disparate images: powerful females, flora and fauna, classical paintings juxtaposed with pop-culture and high fashion imagery, revealing purposefully designed messages to the world" Her site statement.

This is the latest addition to the art curated by Napa Rail Arts District @radnapa to beautify the walls along the train tracks in Napa Valley close to the Wine Train @thewinetrain.

"ROLLING PORTRAIT OF A FIREFIGHTER"

Recent wildfires in Sonoma County brought back visions of the 2017 Tubbs Fire—memories still way too vivid to residents of Northern California's wine country, and a state that saw dozens of lives lost and thousands of structures destroyed by approximately 250 forest blazes that year. The following year Australian street art icon Fintan Magee visited nearby Napa, California for @RADNapa and honored the 10,000 firefighters who battled the blazes. Painted along the Napa @WineTrain line where viewers can see this animated image coalesce as if viewed through a zoetrope, Magee says this monument to fallen firefighters also serves as a commentary "on the cycles of life, death, and regrowth after forest fires."  @fintan_magee/

"KNOCKIN' ON HEAVEN'S DOOR"

In 2017 Polish street art power-couple with similar aesthetics, Natalia Rak and Bezt, spent 12 day working together on one of three inaugural murals for Napa's Rail Arts District (RAD) project. Rak began painting at age 10 and her murals, primarily focused on empowering women, are known for their mystery and metaphor. Bezt also paints dream-like scenarios and is most widely known for his work with Sainer as part of the Etam Cru duo. Both artists use saturated extra-normal color to create powerful mood pieces and this 152' wall looking over the rail line at Vallejo St is no exception. @RADNapa reports that the girl and butterfly metaphor in "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" is about "finding beauty and never giving up hope, even when you may feel lost."  @nataliarakart/  @bezt_etam/

"THE GARDEN"

Called a “foodie wonderland” by the @NYTimes the 75-year-old Culinary Institute of America's @CIAatCopia offers Napa Valley visitors classes, dining and a variety of other ways to indulge their passion for food and wine. In 2018 Northern California raised / UCLA educated Allison Tinati, aka Hueman, visited the CIA facility on 1st St near the Napa @WineTrain depot to add this work for the city's Rail Arts District project: @RADNapa. Hueman's colorful wall was directly inspired by the CIA at Copia's vegetable garden, in particular the red lettuce that reminded her of flowers, and the rest of the color palette was pulled from the greens of the garden, the stone on the building, and the blue of the Napa sky.  @hueman_/
