Nintendo Fan Rant lol

So I won’t be able to hide the fact that I’m a Nintendo Fan and thats mainly why I’ll be doing a bit of a rant, but I’m going to try to sound as reasonable as possible. 

The reason for this rant is Respawn’s Lead Designers recent comments on the Nintendo Switch and the possibilities of a Titanfall 2 port. If you don’t know what he said it was literally “Fuck No”. Now it’s their right to make games or not for Nintendo so what ever, but what bugged me was his little rant about how Nintendo was for children and under powered, blah, blah, blah. All the same crap from before. He also mentioned it wouldn’t fit on the switch as well, which was an interesting thing for him to say. 

First, here is my honest thoughts on Nintendo being a console for “kids”. I feel this is bullshit and this whole Kid thing started around the DS & Wii Era after Nintendo managed to sell gaming consoles to people who thought video games were for losers or just didn’t understand what made them fun. Whether you’re a Nintendo fan or not, Nintendo has done what no other as done before twice. And thats expand and save the Gaming Market. They did it after the crash in the 80′s with the NES and in the early to Mid 00′s when gamers started to get a rep as basement living nerds. This caused a fear of being associated with gamers. I’m sure many people would argue that Microsoft may have done it with Halo or Activision with Call of Duty, but most of the time those games became popular due to Promotion from celebs, like rappers and stuff and that didn’t really change the image of what a gamer was. Nintendo with the DS and Wii brought a whole new generation of casual players into the gaming industry who would eventually start this new Era of gaming. For anyone who has been gaming since at least the mid 90′s till now, think about how hardcore games were before. They were great, but required so much time and effort. So many weekends and vacations spent trying to beat those game. There wasn’t really many games that allowed you to unwind and play for a few hours. Now think of games today, you got your hardcore games you can sink your teeth into as well as game that you can whip out for 30 mins after school or work with some friends and not just on Nintendo consoles.

So going back to Respawn’s remarks, your wrong and it shows how far up you’re own asses you’ve gotten. If you don’t want to make your games on Nintendo console’s thats fine, but by doing so, you’re the reason Nintendo has this “Kid’s Console” wrap. If you can’t “fit” Titanfalls 2 on the Switch then get better at your job, or stop making excuses. Cause at the end of the day, the main reason (I feel) companies like respawn don’t put their games on Nintendo console’s is cause Nintendo’s first party games look amazing and not only cause they’ve built the hardware, but because they put the time into it. So because Respawn probably doesn’t want to put the time into porting it over and just wanna shit out w/e they have, it’ll look like shit and they know it. 

Anyway these are my opinions, feel free to let me know if you think i’m right or if I’m just a crazy Nintendo Fan Boy lol. Either way is cool~
