Lithium Spark – Paranoid Personality Disorder, PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder)
Lithium’s afflictions stem from years of psychological and physical abuse, as well as torture from Better Living Industries. Her full first name holds terrible memories of abuse and is a trigger when used. This also applies to the nickname “Blue”, which she was called during torture sessions in Battery City. The frequency of nightmares and flashbacks are an indicator of her current mental health. The more instances she has, the more on the decline she is, which garners her loved ones keeping a close eye on her, for fear of how she may react. She has had suicidal tendencies in the past and often relapses into alcohol and heroin abuse when facing episodes. Her posttraumatic stress disorder stemmed her paranoid personality disorder. Lithium is very wary of new people and quickly jumps to less-than-desirable conclusions. She is terrified of the City and suspects all new acquaintances are tied with the entity.
Also resulting from the abuse, Corey refuses to submit to others, mostly from fear of flashbacks. This has created a ruthless and vindictive facet to her personality. Instead of risking the possibility of reliving trauma, she will often eliminate the other party without provocation and reason before the occasion can present itself. This makes her a very dangerous enemy.
