Some of you may have known me long enough that you remember when this was my icon:
But recently, I had the opportunity to come across some of my old USENET posts from 1995. As that was strictly a text based medium, it was common to append each post with an automated signature called a .SIG File, so people could more easily tell posters apart. And in my .SIG for certain newsgroups, was this bit of ASCII art that I’d forgotten that I had ever used:
Aside from the original having the half-n-half effect at an angle and more recent versions being split vertically left-side/right-side, it’s kind of neat that I’ve stuck with the same general theme for over a quarter of a century now.
