so what if im thinkin about lo'ak x neteyams best friend! reader. he's recently completed his dreamhunt, making him a full fledged adult in the eys of the clan and he's doing everything he can to court you. he does not care that you're years older than him, he has to make you his before one of the knuckleheads your age tries to court you. he's listening to his dads and friends advice, refusing to seek out neteyams (who knows you best) help.

but you're just assuming hes the same sweet boy you grew up with. that he gives you food because he's proud of the cut, not because he wants to ensure you eat and know he can provide. that he watches you closely to make fun when you stumble, not because he wants to steady you if need be.
