He was warm, and had seemingly buried himself into a pillow much larger than himself. This was something he did not mind at all. It was comfortable, and he felt like he had just had the best sleep he’s been allowed in ages. Then his senses registered that the pillow was breathing. He was tucked under an arm, and it was a body that shifted next to him, not a pillow.

Raelen opened his eyes, discovering that he was in bed with the Inquisitor. His cheeks flushed bright red at the realization. He must have passed out while they were talking late into the night. Maker’s breath, if anyone were to walk in, what would they think? Fortunately, neither of them looked like they had been up to anything compromising the night before.

Except that he was in fact cuddling up to Kaaras without shame. He tilted his head to see if Kaaras was still sleeping. He didn’t want to move and wake him, but he also didn’t want to move because he was comfortable. He sighed and closed his eyes to pretend he was still asleep, just so he could enjoy the comfort of waking up in a bed with someone. It was much more desirable than waking up alone in a bunk with a dozen or so other men sleeping above and below or across from his bed.

The Inquisitor felt like he had been asleep for a good week or so. His muscles were comfortable, and pressed against his chest was something warm, something comforting. He just assumed Ginger had decided to crawl his way into his bed and snuggle up for the night or early morning. He was entirely alright with that. The cat wanted attention when he wanted it, and he’d not deny him of a good cuddle. 

His ears woke up far before hie eyes were open, and he felt them twitch as he heard something else. Breathing... Heavier breathing. His eyes opened, and he looked down, which moved the sheets covering him and... Raelen!? 

Oh, of course! The man had spent the night here, although he didn’t expect them to be sharing his bed! They had been talking long through the night, about Kirkwall, about the Free Marches in general and then Ferelden. Kaaras was a bit of an early bird, though, and because he tended to wake up so early in the morning, he also needed to go to bed before midnight or he’d simply crash.

Being a qunari used a lot of energy, on top of that, he was a mage. As soon as he hit the pillow, he was out like a lantern in a harsh breeze. It didn’t mean he couldn’t wake up with ease, no thanks to his trained body, but he still fell asleep fast, and sometimes faster than others. That’s what must have happened last night. He was clothed, which was nice, and in something more casual than dress clothes. Loose pants for sleeping in, as well as a loose shirt.

But back to Raelen, the man who was so obviously sharing a bed with him this morning. Maker, was he awake? He didn’t want to wake him up and make it awkward considering the man was huddled up to him. He didn’t have much of a choice, and he leant out of him, rolling onto his back. He instantly regretted it when the sheets was standing near his crotch, and he smacked his hands down, which if Raelen wasn’t already awake, he would be now.

I hope you do not mind me using your name… this is more of a personal letter than one of business. I would like to apologize for walking in on you the other day, but I am not entirely regretful of it. Of course, now I have to admit I have had some inappropriate dreams about you…I am unsure of how to remedy this situation. I find that I can not stop thinking about the vitaar, and it may not be my place to offer suggestions, but if you would like some hands on help I would be happy to guide the brush.

// Not gunna lie, I think these guys are super cuties. Kaaras is absolutely swept off his feet by people who can flirt with him back and forth, even if it makes hum blush. Also, when he’s put in an awkward situation with someone, and there has been flirting, it’s something he can’t easily forget about and it plays on his mind a lot--which in turn turns into crushes quite easily.

But all the little sweet kissy things have me all giddy and I think they are adorable! They’re a couple that would really look out for one another, I reckon, but have all the cute, funny, and pun-filled banter that makes a really cute but funny and relaxing, realistic couple :’D 

I could see Kaaras being very happy with him. :)
