I'm seriously considering watching North & South - should I? I've heard mixed (but /usually/ positive) reviews from those around me. :O
Yes! Absolutely! I highly recommend it. However, if you are still unsure…

Merry Christmas 2018
RaeViews
I’ve heard you loud and clear and do not worry! RaeViews will be coming back. I was incredibly busy to an unhealthy degree these past few months, but I’m back on track! I’m currently working on a RaeView of Pride and Prejudice 2005
I’m not promising it’s coming out any time soon, but it’s in the works!
Other films that have been requested and are in the lineup are listed below. I’m not taking any more requests until these have been completed. Stay tuned!
Pride and Prejudice 2005 Jane Eyre 2011 Mansfield Park 1999 Jane Eyre 1996 Emma 2009
How many reviews have you done? I'd love to watch more! (the "WHAT"s in your North & South video killed me)
I have done 3 reviews: Jane Eyre 1983 Jane Eyre 1997 North and South
I make these review videos by request only, so if there’s a movie you’d like me to take a crack at, let me know and I’ll do my best to track it down!
Your review of the 1997 adaptation is hilarious. Now I'm kinda scared to watch any movies on Jane Eyre cuz I'm afraid it will ruin all my imagination. Which one is the best in your opinion? Also, what are your thoughts on the one with Mia Wasikowska?
My top two are 2011 and 2006. I first saw 2011 on Netflix a few years back and I had never heard of Jane Eyre, let alone read the book. I was captivated instantly by Mia Wasikowska, and her performance had me crying by the end of the film. 2011 set the bar for me in regards to literary film adaptations, and there are very, very few that meet that level of production value. I then watched 1996 on Netflix and cried even more… However, this was because my stomach hurt so much from laughing. I still wanted more content and figured BBC probably had something good and I watched 2006. In terms of production value, this version sucks, but the writing and acting more than make up for it.
In short, you can’t go wrong watching 2011 and 2006, 1997 will melt your eyes, and 1996 is the classic literature equivalent of The Room (dir. Tommy Wiseau)
I am obsessed with your commentary of Jane Eyre! Do you have more? :D I'll take everything!
I make those videos by request, so I don’t currently have any more of them. If you have a specific adaptation in mind, I’ll give it a whirl!
what are your thoughts and feelings on the 1983 jane eyre?
Hey there! I answered a question quite similar to this not too long ago!
