For Engage month day 28 (paired endings) if Rafal and Alfred had a paired ending, their solo endings could still happen and i find it a fun things to think of! They'd have time to be together and enjoy it but their fates remain the same. Live, losing, but the love existing, it's bittersweet.
And while honestly some dragon power fuckery could happen and Alfred could live longer, i do enjoy the simple idea of the time they had together being short but still enjoying it to the fullest and that sticking with Rafal even as years pass by and he still mourns the loss he experienced.
Like ultimately i like their solo endings as they're, it fits them and shows greatly their characters, so the idea that they can still co-exist while bringing to the table happiness, good moments and some that are a little more rough (as that's life) is just very nice sounding to me.
