opinion on video game remakes (generally, should they even be made)?
oh boy! benn asking the big question. i think it depends on a few factors for me. is it well made? sure! could it benefit from being remade? definitely! i dont really have experience with remakes besides final fantasy vii remake so i’m not really sure as i loved it and it blew my mind with the detail. i’m aware there are still a few more discs coming and i’m excited to see where they go! one point someone made is its good for the newer generations to get into it and those who weren’t able to play it when they were younger. they could fully enjoy it in all its glory with being remade. a con i could see is companys cut corner and do a terrible job where say the gameplay doesnt need to be fixed and it was pretty solid in the original. that would be the point where i’d say they shouldnt remake games and move onto new games. sorry this is long and ranty! i apologize!
