I recently begun reading the Raffles stories and I've been enjoying them so much... here is the first of potentially many pieces as I keep reading!

Bunny assures Raffles that he would do anything for him.

6. Loney, Dear – I Lose It All

Bunny’s thoughts as he stares out of his porthole aboard the Uhlan at the end of “Gift of the Emperor”.

I lose it all, I watch it go

I choke, I drown, with all fading out

7. Chris Garneau – Between the Bars

Set during Bunny’s time in prison. After a particularly harrowing day, Bunny hallucinates Raffles talking to him.

Forget all about the pressure of days and do what I say,

And I’ll make you okay, and drive them away,

The images stuck in your head.

8. Emiliana Torrini – Today Has Been OK

After being released from prison, Bunny tries to build himself a normal life again.

9. The Swell Season – If You Want Me

Set during “No Sinecure”. Raffles is anxious whether Bunny will accept him back.

Are you really sure that you’d believe me? When others say I lie

10. The Decemberists – The Bagman’s Gambit

Bunny and Raffles resume their secret lives as cracksmen.

11. Cat Stevens – Lady D'Arbanville

Set during “An Old Flame”. Bunny stands over Raffles’ lifeless body.

My Lady D'Arbanville, why does it grieve me so?

12. Sia – Breathe Me

The years in Italy have changed more in Raffles than just his physical appearance.

Be my friend, hold me / Wrap me up, unfold me

13. PJ Harvey – One Line

Set during “Knees of the Gods”. Bunny tells Raffles that he is the only one he’d follow into war. Bunny hopes that their love will keep them safe against all odds.

14. Marina & the Diamonds – Rootless

Shortly after “Knees of the Gods”. Bunny roams the streets with no place left to go.

15. Rocky Votolato – Suicide Medicine

Half-mad from grief, Bunny starts hallucinating Raffles again, who reminds him of the bittersweet time they had at Ham Common.

Looks like it’s over, please remember all of the things I never got a chance to say

16. Maria Mena – Calm Under the Waves

Bunny decides he can’t live without Raffles anymore.
