I read Lin Darrow's Pyre at the Eyreholm Trust a while ago and I keep thinking about it... it's such a vibrant story, so I wanted to make something for it in a vibrant colour.

"You're everything. You're... You're chaos and order and everything in between."
Another piece for Timekeeper by Tara Sim as I wait to get my hands on the second book... I tried to go all out on drawing lots of gears for this one!
Through this golden boy he saw the sun and the moon and the galaxies that had given birth to everything, the beginning of creation and the end of time. He saw how the world was supposed to be, hanging on every breath, every flutter of a heartbeat, as stars were born and died and born again. He saw the shutter of the sun falling and the whisper of the moon rising. Over and over, until gold and silver blended into a veil through with the world was perfect. A world that was ancient and new.
A world that was theirs.
I finished Timekeeper by Tara Sim the other day and WOW, what a book! There was so much about it I loved and I wanted to channel some of that into a piece for one of my favourite parts.
"...I am Lady Dorothy's number one disciple, Sirius Gibson!!!!" I'm scared. Honestly, my legs are shaking. But even I have my pride. Maybe this isn't bravery or anything. Maybe it's merely stupidity... But I absolutely refuse to just admit defeat like this!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIRIUS!
I've done my favourite line of his in the Bonus Stage so here's my favourite in the main game! He is very loved and deserves so much.
I’ve been rereading Naomi Novik’s Spinning Silver on audiobook this time! I paused it to write down this line to do in calligraphy while I kept listening, it was one of my favourite lines the first time I read the book too.
The night swallowed him up like a thieving fox.
The dawn will light up the world tomorrow. The night will dim with the fallen snowflakes, shining in a dream.
Love speaks in flowers. Truth requires thorns.
The sisters mean a lot to me...
Last night played and loved Midnight Train by @midnighttrain-project last night! I'm so excited for future installments and to see where the story goes next. I went with my favourite blue ink for this piece, plus some silver in honour of Luna and the game's moon references 🌙
Inej had once offered to teach him how to fall. “The trick is not getting knocked down,” he'd told her with a laugh. “No, Kaz,” she'd said, "the trick is in getting back up.”
Inktober Day 9!
Today I went with something special from Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows — so many parts of it, including practically every scene with Kaz and Inej is something special to me, but I decided to go with this one because it was one of my first favourites, and the image I had of it in my mind worked with the compressed uncials style I wanted to try again.
Inktober Day 8: Claerwen, Charlie Bone’s wand/moth.
Charlie giving her a name that means ‘clear light’ always felt very important, as did her scenes when she gave Charlie and his friends light in dark times, guiding them through the dark halls of Bloor’s Academy and always fluttering down to sit reassuringly on Charlie’s head.
Inktober Day 7: Another of my favourite Love Nikki suits!
Inktober Day 6: One of my favourite suits from Love Nikki!
