If Russell prefaced anything with, “I bet someone I could get you to-”, Cain would drop whatever he’s doing to do whatever it was, tbh. Street cred with other kids is a precious resource he’s willing to provide.

After days of searching, Cain was slowly losing hope that he would ever find Russell again. Initially the plan was to break the boy out of whatever jail he ended up in, but, without news of an arrest, that plan fell apart fairly quickly. It took nearly a week and a lot of blind luck before Cain was able to find the boy. It was bittersweet in some ways. He was glad Russell was fine, but slightly hurt that he was seemingly abandoned.

     As soon as he saw a moment where the boy was alone, Cain approached, arms crossed and a sour look on his face, “Friends aren’t supposed t’ abandon each other, kid.”

After everything that Russell had been through Yukio wanted to make sure he was doing alright – of course he had Wade and Cable to look after him so she knew he was safe. But she wasn’t sure how he was really doing. “Hi Russell!” She beams as she wanders in with a tin of cookies – he hadn’t had the pleasure of trying her baking, but she had found that it was one of the better ways to get someone to open up just a little. “How are you settling in? Do you have everything that you need?”
