Quote let out a slight yawn as he finished the book. It was a human book, talking about space. He remembered that Hurt used to love it. He let out another yawn. It’s been ages since he felt that tired, Quote didn’t need to sleep often if at all. Ever since the incident he barely slept. Rubbing his eyes he jolted when he heard a sudden noise.

Hell Raiser

In the past four years since Erorael had been rather unceremoniously returned to Hell after his handler had died in a quite...unfortunate manner, the demon had become increasingly bored with the repetitive nature of his life in the underworld.

While it was true that in Hell he was given free reign to do as he pleased, with plenty of damned souls to torture--and oh how he loved to torture, especially the souls of sexual predators--even that was growing old by this point. He ignored the shrieks of the man he was currently inflicting punishment upon before carelessly tossing him aside to the lower demons to pick on for a while. He yawned widely, idly considering how much more entertaining his last assignment on the overworld had been. He almost missed his last handler... almost. Humans weren’t entirely easy to get attached to. Still, it hadn’t been this long between overworld assignments ever since he could remember--though he assumed that this was a consequence of his involvement in the untimely end of the young man he’d been bound to. He stretched his pale body over an outcropping of stone, making himself comfortable. How long would it be before he was allowed on the surface once more? As if in response to his unspoken musings, the ground lurched beneath him, knocking him face first off his perch onto the stone floor below. He wiped his now-bleeding nose on the back of his hand with a growl before suddenly finding himself airborne, the hot, sulphuric air of Hell rushing past him. And then, just as suddenly as it began, it stopped, throwing him face-first into the ground for the second time that day. He opened his eyes and looked around, mildly surprised by what he saw.

He’d returned to the overworld.
