Student: "I have a question about how to use Windows 8."

Me: "I don't...I'm sorry, but this is not IT, we just register people for classes here."

Student: "Why can't you help me? I heard you can assist me with Windows 8."

Me: "I do apologize, but if your question is not related to the College, or student registration, I'm afraid I won't be of much help."

Student: "You're not being very helpful." (walks away angrily)

Student: "Hey, can you just sign me up for whatever? My grandma needs to think I'm in school this semester."

Me: "..."

"Can you tell me how many girls are in this class before I sign up?"

SOMEONE has their priorities in order.

someone just handed me a registration sheet on which they wished to sign up for a course in "mathness". I have no words.

some old lady is on the phone with me right now wanting to buy tickets to see "Pirates of Penzance" & when I explain to her that she has the wrong number and that this is a college not a local theatre, she gets angry at me  "Well can you get me the tickets, or not?"

Dear student:

No, we do not offer a class in "College Mathematication." 

[son-just--dont]

Student: "I want to register for classes online. Should I click on this link that says 'register for classes online'?" Me: "No. Never do that. Doing that will cause an elder god to awaken from his slumber and destroy us all." Pause. "I mean, yes."

(actually no)

Today a student came in and she was very worried. She says to me, I have two classes. One is Mon-Wed-Fri, and the other one is on Saturdays. Will these two classes conflict with one another? I pause, blink, and then reassure her that, no, unless Wednesdays start running into Saturdays now, she should be okay. She asks me twice, "are you sure?"
