you and chekov entered starfleet on the same year. when you two graduated, you hugged each other and threw little starfleet ships into the air in celebration. now you two were assigned on the uss enterprise, and it was the best thing that could have happened to you. the air was full of smoke that day, frantic people running up and down the halls, people getting trampled, desperately trying to salvage the ship. you knew khan was attacking the ship. there was a 20% probability you would make it out alive. you desperately tried to help with the emergency protocols, but everyone shoved you away. you slid down the wall and sat against it in desperation. you wished chekov was here, your best friend of 5 years, who you rarely talk to anymore. hmph he probably doesnt even think of me you thought. 

'alya! alya!!!' you heard a frantic screaming from the distance

you whipped your head around and saw chekov running up to you

you got up and started to speak but he just stared at you for a minute with a blank expression, cupped your face, and kissed you passionately. he pulled away after a few seconds and said 'if we are all going to heaven today, i deserve a taste of heaven on earth first' he mumbled in his russian accent. he smiled at you, kissed you again and ran off into the distance. suddenly things werent so bad anymore
