"J-Just hold on, wait a second!"

Isa moved one foot in front of the other, shoulder reared back as she'd try to demand from this stranger; though, truth be told, from how impressively he'd just saved their lives, he'd crush hers in a heartbeat.

Maybe he still would, and this would be the end of their journey.

"You're right; they're after me and my charge. My name's Isa, and this... This is Rika. My father sent those soldiers to return us to the empire. We're... Complicated."

Her voice dropped several octaves, barely more than a whisper; sapphire eyes downtrodden as she thought about her past. If she should explain anymore than that to him, if she should beseech his help.

If she should ask him about why he helped her.

"I heard the guards cry out for someone else as we fled; was that... You? Are you Ragna? Why did you help us just now; that puts a bigger target on your back."

With time to think, she'd heard the name a handful of times; both at the academy where she'd trained and from her father. People refused to discuss his name in public, let alone with her, so she only knew the name itself, not what it represented.

From how strong he seemed, it was likely that they spoke his name in fear. Yet it was that selfsame fear that'd give them protection; a name that they could use to keep danger at bay.

Perhaps it'd invite more to her doorstep, but the message it would send would be clear; that Isa was traveling in powerful company.

"Why don't we go together? We could-- use a name like yours, and on the flip side, you can use ours to keep yourself under the radar. It seems we're both wanted by the same people, so it'd... Minimize... Casualties?"

It felt as if she didn't believe her own words, simply trying any excuse on the spot to keep him around. His posture and frame may have beckoned danger, but his eyes bemoaned it; a life of solitude, on his own, always trying to be on his own.

"I don't think we're too different, you and I; take a seat. Let's relax for a bit before we head out, perhaps it's in discussion that we can find mutuality."

   When it was clear that this was no hallucinations, Mukuro let out a small gasp as she took in the sight of him。 He looked absolutely awful, when he had stopped moving and seemed to have rest his head down, Mukuro quickly went over to him。 Even in heels, Mukuro stepped quietly enough as if she was approaching him napping。

   When she got next to him, she dropped to her knees and slowly reached out to caress his face, and as soon as her fingers came into contact with his skin, fat tears began to drip out of Mukuro’s eyes。 A broken sob escaping her mouth as she leaned forward to rest her head against his chest。 Her hands moved to grasp at the material of his clothing as she sobbed into his chest, in her heart, she hoped that there was some possibility that this was a something that could be amended, after all he had that outstanding healing ability, right？ Perhaps it was just taking a bit more time than usual。

   But another part of her hoped that this was just another torturous nightmare and that she’d wake up and this would only be some sort of shitty dream, at least that way, she knew he wasn’t actually like this if it were just a nightmare。 However, the longer she remained there, the more it seemed like this was an actual thing that was happening。 Sniffling out a few more sobs, Mukuro sat up more and reached for her phone, she’d probably be more useful if she called someone to help out rather than just sit here and cry like a bawl calf。

The residents of the manor are quite used to blood finding itself just about anywhere it can or even normally can’t reach. That fact is disturbing in its own right, but such is life when the head of the house is a bloodthirsty vampire and the residents alike have abandoned any and all gods that have been created by mankind.

As Sakuya looks at him on the table, she can’t help but be reminded of all the times she’s been in the same position of a near death experience. All the more reason to bring him here, since Patchouli has more than enough experience healing someone who’s had multiple near-fatal wounds. Perhaps it’s best if she doesn’t tell him that though...

“You’re lucky I was able to find you in time. Even more so that Patchouli has agreed to heal you. Please, don’t try to say anything else.” Halfway through that sentence, Patchouli rushes in and immediately sees to the patient by casting a sleeping spell.

“You’re going to be okay.”

The cat immediately jumped from the other party’s hands to his hands then climbed on top of his shoulder much more comfortably. There were more cats in the area that would then move and stand right behind him; all of them. They felt safe around him as many other animals did, the tension in the air was clear as his eyes denoted caution and a degree of potential hostility.

“...You are going to tell me who or what the hell are you. Right now.” It wasn’t either of the two, but the presence reeked of enough relativity, so who was it? His negative reaction was beyond understandable, his direct true punisher could be behind this, and he was only willing to listen to so so little, unsurprisingly. If he had to get the felines to scatter, he would.

Ouroboros had managed to not only pick up one of the cat’s, but get close enough to Ragna to pass the cat off before her presence was noticed. Either he was distracted or he wasn’t as perceptive as she had thought. The green haired girl grinned a serpentine smile “Oh come on Rags with how many times you and I have clashed you haven’t gotten to where you can recognize me yet?” she said in a playful tone using one of Terumi’s nicknames for the red-clad male. After another moment she let a surge of green and black energy very reminiscent of seithr surge around her briefly before it dissipated again.

“Fine.... since I know you are not going to be smart enough to figure it out.... You can call me Ouroboros. I got myself an actual body now thanks to an old friend of mine and I was told I had to come talk to you... apparently even though I was just a weapon at the time my friend insists I apologize to you and try to get on good terms with you.... So are we going to talk or do I get to actually fight you with my own two hands this time?” she asked as if to almost beg him to give her a reason to fight him so she could tell her ‘friend’ that she tried and he wasn’t willing.

There was some commotion as he was walking around the next town over while concealed by Ars Magus, unless somebody had at least enough aptitude to as much as feel his presence they’d know he was around, let alone be able to see him while concealed, which obvoiusly was a pretty high enough mark to have if so.

Deciding to check the building that had many onlookers, mainly civilians, he wondered what was going on... Until he saw those two familiar faces through some windows, “...Two of them? What are they up to now?” He didn’t think he’d meet them again too soon, but now that he was here, he had better observed what kind of havoc they were causing.

Of course, he couldn’t compromise himself and them furthermore by being seen in this situation with them, it would be pushing too much like last time he was seen with them, for sure now they’d plaster all over he was the one leading instead and much more bullshit... So he broke in and decided to follow close, still concealed and from the shadows, not coming out unless it was completely necessary to do so.

What was it? A heist? Assassination? What? As long as it was for the good reason, he indeed would not have to stand between them either.

A heist or an assassination? It was neither of those things. The entire building is a house party where everyone is invited and ransacking everything they see in every room! (Though, it can be described as a heist, but what is heist where things are getting wrecked?! ) There is the sound of blaring music which got the crowd gathering where things are thrown out of the room. 

The DBT found a terrible estate agent working with a horrible landlord who forced the old residents out of their homes by raising the rent high enough and making them homeless with no aid. The estate agent turn the whole building into a big condo for herself and some of her rich friends, turning it into a penthouse at the top. In result, they invited the old residents to trash the building into what they see fit while stealing their valuables and money. It was the perfect revenge!

In charge of the vandalizing crew is no other but Van Ink The Dragon and her friends. In one of the floors, Rust and Oblivion check outside and went back to the living room to update their leader about the situation.

“Hey Ink! It looks like people are lookin!” Rust tells her.

“Really! Well, invited them too! More people, the better!” 

“I think we might to rethink that. We might need to leave in 15 minutes before anyone calls the police.” It was Fosh as he looks to see if any calls are placed.

She did it again, didn’t she? She excused herself from a yet another meeting and ran away, unable — and, perhaps, unwilling — to handle the pressure of having to keep conversations going. What her classmates did with astonishing ease, which shouldn’t have been surprising to begin with, Marianne struggled with to a degree that was almost unbearable. And there more she thought about it, the more she assured herself that she simply didn’t belong. She never would. No matter what they said, she just knew it, for she knew herself better than she’d ever let them.

Thus, she let her feet guide her. Normally, she’d go straight to the stables because only in the company of animals she felt she could truly be herself without having any second thoughts about anything she said. There was no pressure, no tension or embarrassment. But this time, the young woman simply wanted to be all alone, and eventually, she had found herself in a peaceful and quiet area near the forest, far from the the academy with all its noise and fuss. Tiredly, she landed on the ground and sighed, and with this sigh the remains of her energy had left her.

Minutes passed one by one, and little by little, her anxiety was starting to fade, making way for serenity. And then...

CRACK!

Poor girl jumped to her feet before she knew it, her heart racing as her gaze darted back and forth in search for the source of the noise, unsure if she even wanted to find it in the first place.

“Wh-who’s there?!”

Oh, how she was hoping that she simply overreacted and no one was there.

  After work, Tamiko only had a few pass-times. If it were a Wednesday, she’d go and pick Jubei up from High-School and take her home. If it were a Thursday or Friday, she’d be heading over to her colleagues house for some party-games and drinks.

  Seeing as it was a Monday, though, she really didn’t have any plans. Shrugging her bag over her shoulder, time was her own. Jubei would be at home, doing whatever it was that she did, so it wasn’t as if she had to worry much.

  Thus, her feet would take her towards the nearby bar, a tavern that she frequented generally on the weekends, or like today, after a rough-as-guts time at work. It was her way of letting her hair down, so to speak. 

  Passing underneath the thin fabric reading “Welcome”, she’d take her usual barstool, flagging down a bar maid and ordering her usual pint of beer, straight from... Well, whatever that place was with the weird creepy-crawlies and the cute bears. Her mind was too frazzled right now to think properly.

  Though it very quickly jumped into gear at the stranger next to her; red jacket, white hair... Was he European? Not many people looked like that around here, and those that dared to certainly got their fair-share of stares.

“Tough day for you too, huh?”

  Did he work at an anime store or something? He certainly looked the part; the more of him she looked at, the more confident she was that he was either not from these parts, or he enjoyed cosplaying. In fact...

  Didn’t Jubei play a game with a guy like him in it? Blaze... Red? Yellow? She knew it was a color, for sure, but once more her mind refused to co-operate. 

“That’s a really well-done Cosplay! That must have taken a long time to get put together, huh?”
