Stockholm-based Ragnar Persson takes us behind the film’s eerie artwork, and their bloody, gory, ritualistic influences
Midsommar’s director’s cut is available on 4K Ultra HD or Blu-ray for $45 via A24, marking the distributor’s first Collector's Edition. The extended cut was previously available exclusively on Apple TV in the U.S., and the film had not receive a physical 4K release.
Scheduled to ship on July 20, the disc is housed in a cloth-bound slipcase, accompanied by a 62-page booklet featuring art from the film by concept artist Ragnar Persson and a foreword by filmmaker Martin Scorsese.
Written and directed by Ari Aster (Hereditary), the 2019 folk horror film stars Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, Will Poulter, and Vilhelm Blomgren. Read my review here.
