Summary: The reader hopes to comfort Ubbe after the death of Torvi. Though the night doesn’t end how it was supposed to. Ubbe and the reader face consequences after that fateful night.
It was a rainy night outside so everybody was gathered in their homes or in the great hall. You watched Ubbe drink all throughout the night. He was still in mourning over the passing of Torvi.
She died a couple weeks ago when a plague passed through. He was having a hard time losing her while also taking care of his three-month-old son, Ragnar.
It was no secret that you were fond of Ubbe. You’ve been in love with him since you first arrived in Kattegat to help your sickly father take care of his farm.
You chanced a glance at Ubbe to see him watching you with his mead in one hand. His gaze caused the hairs on you to raise. His piercing eyes seemed to look into your very soul.
The woman in front of you handed you the gift that you had asked her to keep safe until you can pay her which she did for extra.
The gift you bought made you feel good though, you were unsure of what Ubbe would think. You got up with the little courage you had within you. Ubbe put his feet down from the table when you approached.
“Ubbe, I got something for your son.” You handed him a plush toy. There was a part of you that hoped you weren’t stepping over any boundaries. He grazed your fingers taking the toy, looking it over. “Well, goodnight.”
You were making your way over to the doors when Ubbe grabbed your arm taking you to a room. He shut the door behind you. He tossed the toy to the side and grabbed the sides of your cheeks kissing you.
He pressed your back to the door hiking up your dress. His hand kneaded your inner thigh then he moved his fingers to prod your opening making you grab his wrist.
“Ubbe, stop. You’re drunk.”
He started kissing your neck and groping your body more aggressively. You started to panic a little bit. You had always wanted Ubbe, but not like this.
“Ubbe stop!” You pushed him back making him fall on the floor. You turned around opening the door only for Ubbe to slam it shut with his hand.
“You’re not leaving me too,” He whispered in your ear from behind. He pulled your hips back into him feeling him grow. “I need this. I need you.” He moved your hair kissing your neck.
There was just something in his voice that made you feel sympathy for him. He lost someone dear to him and he needed solice.
You turned around placing your hands on his shoulders. “Please tell me you won’t regret this.”
“I won’t, I promise on Odin’s eye.”
You nodded and started to take off your dress. Ubbe stood back watching you undress in front of him. You backed him up until he fell on the bed, only laying on his forearms. His eyes were wide and his breathing picked up when you straddled him.
You kissed him slowly bringing your hand on his cheek. He grabbed your ass and flipped you over so he was on top. He pulled his trousers down and gripped his length stroking himself.
“Take your shirt off,” you told him playing with his hair. He pulled you closer to him then aligned himself hovering over you.
“No time. You’re ready for me.” He entered you slowly, filling you with all he had to give. He closed his eyes as you gripped his shoulders moaning against his chest.
“Ubbe,” you whispered. As soon as he heard you he opened his eyes. They seemed more piercing than ever. His breathing had changed as if he was really taking in what you two were doing.
He removed your hands from his shoulders and held them above your head in a tight grip. He pulled out and slammed back into you harshly. You gasped at the harshness and hissed in pain.
“Ubbe, not so rough.” He didn’t listen to you and continued his brutal pace. His nails dug into your skin with each thrust. His pace made tears in your eyes form.
“Ubbe,” you whimpered. He leaned forward gritting his teeth.
“Shut up,” he captured your breast in his mouth sucking and nipping, leaving marks in his wake.
You pulled up your legs trying to push him away or even kick him. He pulled himself out of you and put his hand around your throat.
“Stop moving.”
“I don’t want you like this Ubbe.” The tears in your eyes were starting to bother him. He turned you around, still having his hand on your throat.
“I’m a prince, you’re a farmers daughter. You will let me have you or I’ll have your tongue.” He all but growled in your ear. “Do you understand?” When you didn’t nod he gripped harder. “I said, do you understand?”
You nodded. “Yes, my prince.”
He had you bent over and took you like that for the rest of the night with his hands bruising your waist. All the while your hands gripped the sheets hoping this nightmare will end.
When he finished inside you he let you go and laid on the bed. He quickly fell asleep, much to your relief.
This night did not go as planned. You had always dreamed Ubbe would make love to you and perhaps make you his wife after giving him enough time to mourn Torvi. His snore made you drift out of your thoughts.
You raised yourself from the bed and went to retrieve your dress, wincing as you did so. When you left the room you bumped into Hvitserk making him hold you steady with your legs still shaking. Ivar was with him with a smirk already on his face.
“Fun night?” He asked, almost as if he knew Ubbe wasn’t gentle.
You held back your tears knowing how cruel Ivar can be. You didn’t want to appear weak in front of him, no, you wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of doing so.
“Ivar, Hvitserk, I hope you both have a good night.” You tried to get away quickly so they wouldn’t strike up a conversation.
Hvitserk tugged on your arm slightly. “I hope you know my brother and I like to share. Ubbe wouldn’t mind if I had you.”
You tugged your arm back. “But I do. You won’t have me Hvitserk.” He gently grazed his finger against your cheek.
“Let me know if you change your mind. I think Ubbe is too soft with the ladies. I am more satisfying when it comes to delivering.” He backed away and left while Ivar watched you.
He knew. You didn’t know how, but your exchange of glances let you know he knew everything that happened that night. His eyes could read anybody. You just wanted to leave the presence of all the Ragnarsson’s.
