General Note || To any Patreon-using CC creators:
Given the state of the world, I think that we can all agree that the times we are living in are scary and difficult to understand. We’re all scared, we’re all isolated, and we’re all unsure what’s coming next.
To any and all mutuals that I am following who create custom content for any and all video games, Sims or otherwise:
I recognize that your hard work should be rewarded. I really do. I may not agree with paying outright for content that directly violates the Sims terms of service or use, but nevertheless, those of you with early-access subscriptions and interactive subscriptions do deserve to be rewarded. I realize that some of you may use this money to pay your bills, feed your families, and I do not want to take away from that - this is for those of you with extra income, where this is your side hustle that puts ‘play money’ in your pocket to enjoy the occasional luxury.
So, with that being said, if you absolutely must charge money for your content, I humbly ask you to consider:
-Donate any new (and/or old) subscription fees, commission fees, etc. that you accrue during this crisis time to the relief organization nearest you.
-Advertise your involvement and dedication to assistance in this issue to your followers, and encourage them to do the same to their followers. Let’s get this community active and do our part.
-Create marketing and information that does NOT mention the virus in any way. Many of your followers may be in areas highly affected by this and may find it triggering to discuss it further on what should be a place of mental sanctuary.
Please, for their sake, do not use this situation simply to profit.
