Rahdesign

The World Barista Championship (WBC) is a coffee brewing competition held annually by World Coffee Events (WCE). Three national champions of the WBC banded together to create Rahdesign in February 2012. Today I got the chance to chat with Chia-Ming Tsao, a winner of the WBC in 2009. Before he started to "play" with coffee (in his words) 7 years ago, he was an interior designer. This coffee shop displays his love of design & coffee. Watching Chia-Ming make my coffee using a moka pot was a performance in and of itself. Try their waffles stuffed with mochi. They're crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Tidbit: The name Rahdesign comes from the Taiwanese phrase "lah dee sai" which means "chit-chat."
