Bouncing off the previous ask, what defines what a deity's power will be? For example, it's very on the nose with Luna, but why did Rainshine become the goddess of justice? Is there specific interference from Starcatcher?
Typically, a deity's power will be decided by taking on a great trial related to their domain, but in the case of Rain Shine and Parabola, they were both deities that Star Catcher made to try and balance out the Storm King.
Rain Shine is so so pretty!! I love her design and everything about her! Are there specific dynamics between each ruler? What do you think they are if you're willing to tell us about them?
Thank you very much!!
The leaders have all been around a long time (with the exception of Ember, the newest among them) so there's a lot of history between them--good and bad.
Rain Shine and Ember are close friends; they enjoy going to see opera together
Rain Shine and Celestia HATEEEE each other
Ember and Celestia have a tense appreciation for one another
Parabola is quite disdainful toward Celestia (she doesn't approve of her harsh judgments) but is surprisingly friendly toward Rain Shine despite their disagreements on magic
Parabola used to be very worried about Luna before she was consumed by dark magic, and often warned Celestia to keep an eye on her
Ember and Parabola are surprisingly friendly toward one another
Queen Rain Shine in my Exileverse MLP AU! Kirin are so cool…I based their appearance in my Exileverse AU more closely to those found in the Qing dynasty 🙂↕️
Queen Rain Shine is the Goddess of Justice and ruler of the easternmost land in Equestria, Xianxia (named after the Chinese fantasy genre). She is a passionate and benevolent leader with a fiery temper. As a result of Rain Shine’s leadership, Xianxia is deeply principled; respect for all living beings is the foundation of its culture, and justice is upheld for even the smallest insect. Magic, art, and nature are paramount in Xianxia, and many travel there to experience its wonders.
The alliance of Kirin and Dragons have caused a deep rift between Kirin and ponies; Queen Celestia and Queen Rain Shine’s fierce rivalry is known throughout the lands. Rain Shine sees her as a despot using laws to restrain her citizens from rising to power; Celestia sees her as a hotheaded hippie without control over her citizens.
I hope you like my interpretation of Rain Shine and the Kirin! :3

The kind but decisive leader of the kirins, Rain Shine was the one who declared that the kirin should all become silent when a simple argument led to flaring tempers that transformed her people into their dangerous and volatile nirik forms, leading to their town being burned to the ground. Her people accepted silence as an acceptable trade-off for peace, and did as told, entering the Stream of Silence to magically silence themselves, while also cooling their tempers. But in time, Rain Shine comes to accept that it's better for the kirin to have all their emotions, including anger, and she welcomes the undoing of the spell. She's said to have a beautiful singing voice.
