A Sister's Care is being put on hiatus, & commissions are open
The short version:
My wife and I have become suddenly homeless, and so I need to shift my attention towards anything that will help keep us going. I'm accepting donations as well, but it's hard to ask for anything for free.
I'm going to be charging $0.01 AUD per word, and will be willing to write anything I feel capable of matching the quality I would want to present for that price point. (more details + how to commission me [here])
The long version:
Some of you know that I recently moved, it was why one of the chapters of A Sister's Care took so long to come out. Well we were asked with very little warning to temporarily leave for around a week. But we have no guarantees that it will actually be temporary. The only thing we know is that if we are let back we will still need to find a place in June and move out everything.
Moving was expensive. Right now we have $700 total between us and are desperately trying to figure out where to live and how to stretch what we currently have until possible scholarships come through for my wife's degree. We're already relying on the generosity of the people around us to not be sleeping in our car, but this money won't last very long. A week at most (with a vast chunk of it going to hotel accommodation.)
That means if we are let back we would be completely broke anyway.
So I'm opening commissions!
If you like my writing, and have an idea for a short story you'd like realised, follow the link to my sub-post about commissions to get all the details about it.
I hope things will work out, but I have to assume they won't because otherwise we could be blindsided again and be in an even worse spot. I can't let that happen to us.
I'm really sorry that I have to do this. I love A Sister's Care and desperately want to write more of it, but I'm just not in a position to do so. Ivy, Sofia, and Madison have my heart, and I'm not abandoning them. I hope you can understand.
