Hey there, fellow Jojo enjoyers!

Welp. Not sure how to start this, other than:

A JOJO FAN GAME VISUAL NOVEL IS UNDER WAY

I am in the process of making a fan game for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure!

Long story short: How this all came about. A few friends and I were playing the Joestar Struck fanmade visual novel, and it was a lot of fun. It included characters up until Part 4, and it was a pretty investing experience trying to 100% each route, even with the game having a limited cast.

So it got me thinking...

What if we made another fangame, with more romanceable characters than just the main "Jojo" from each part?

To start out, here's the basic premise:

Visual novel style fangame, with storylines specific to each romanceable character

College setting, so that every romanceable character is aged up to an adult

Certain "side characters" and "villains" are also romanceable. Current cast of characters is set to a total of 34 character storylines, ranging from parts 1-6. (I wanted to fit in a lot more, but my initial list was closer to 50 characters and that was too much. As it is, 34 is A LOT.)

Other non-romance characters will make cameos throughout, as well, and several storylines get to play off of each other where they intersect

Planned Features: Customizing Your Experience!

For multi-part characters, pick their outfits/appearances. (Young Joseph or Old Man Joseph? Phantom Blood Dio or Stardust Crusaders DIO? ;P)

Choose whether you want just the fluff romance otome-esc experience of wooing your favorites, or if you want to enable more, ahem... explicit content.

It's still early stages right now, currently in the process of plotting everything out, but Inbox and Asks are OPEN!!

I will also be putting up additional posts this week with the full character roster.

Let me know if you'd be interested in a few storyline teasers! Feel free to drop an Ask to share your headcanons or any interesting thoughts you might have.

In need of a beta readers

Hello, I'm uncertain if this will actually work but I desire a beta reader.

This is a request relating to one of my universes (folder name: Obsidian Tears). I need someone who is willing to go read something that's rather dark and tell me what they think of both the story and characters.

I write in a way that is grammatically correct however I still do want it to make sense.

This is NOT light reading. Not everything is straight up said, most is just implied.

major content warning : trafficking, abuse (physical/emotional/psychological), coercion, loss of autonomy, complicated and unsafe relationship dynamics, trauma, disordered eating, self-harm references, illness. None of these resolve very quickly some are vaguely implied while others are stated clearly.

What I'm looking for:

rephrasing help if a sentence doesn’t make sense

characterization consistency

worldbuilding clarity

grammar + spelling corrections

simple line suggestions

suggestions for descriptions (clothing, rooms, etc.)

suggestions on what to call it (title)

Suggestions on where to make chapters begin and end

What I'm NOT looking for:

Major rewrite suggestions

Attempts to 'fix' the story direction

This story is VERY character focused, slow, and uncomfortable in places. A lot is not explicitly stated rather implied (what is said VS what is avoided)

there are fandom elements, but they’re implied and kept vague. both current sections focus on my OCs, not canon characters, so no prior knowledge is needed. (if you do recognize anything, congrats.)

The story contents are also not nonfiction. There are elements as fantasy like characters having abilities. But its more slice of life but also kind of dark at the same time..?

There is another story existing in the same world/universe as this one that is ALSO in development but the warnings are only for the one.

This is a more of a ongoing thing than a 'read everything at once' thing. In fact its in the very early stages. To clarify this would be an unpaid beta reading arrangement. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to pay for editing services.

If you are interested please contact me and we'll discuss it farther along with more details. Again I'm not very sure if anyone will see this or even be interest but I thought I might as well try. I cannot say much about payment but I am somewhat open to swapping works but I cannot say I'll be much good.

As of the moment the first part is about 41000 words if anyone wants that information.

Thinking about writing that Joker dies and Revenant Jason dying idea that @fruitcakebro and I have discussed. Does anyone have any preference on how the actual death goes down?

Thankfully the changes got reversed, but it has gotten me thinking about how I want to share my writing in future - primarily because tumblr have said they still think reblogs can be 'improved,' and I'm not sure what that means.

I have a backup bluesky for if I suddenly disappear (willingly or not) but it doesn't quite feel like the right space for my writing. I unfortunately designed how I interact with everyone a little too much around how tumblr feels to use.

Making a Discord server came to mind, and the amount of work that would take came to mind immediately after. The workload of managing a server is nothing to sneeze at, and while I'm sure I'd be able to find people willing to become mods I either don't think I'm big enough to warrant the space or it would become a safe haven for a big chunk of the yuricest&other community.

That would be far outside my reasonable scope and also possibly fall afoul of Discord TOS and waste all the setup.

One other option is a Patreon, with a $0 minimum. I like it for how straightforward it is for getting tier rewards to people and general communication, but I don't like it for how spaghetti-fied the internal structure is, and for its historic treatment of porn.

I'm going to keep thinking about things, and I'm very happy to hear feedback or other suggestions.

I sincerely hope I can stay on tumblr but as we all know things are sometimes just out of our hands.

Thank you for the responses and the various suggestions! The main page, the Theatrical page, and the Chronology page have been reworked. The Chronology page was especially fun, and you'll find some treats there. (If anyone has any more "confounding the press" anecdotes I'd love to add them!)

I ask you all to please visit the pages, and offer any comments or suggestions that occur to you. For example, I wanted to leave Ms. Pruett's bio as she wrote it, but it has been pointed out that the present verb tense is a little disconcerting. So I will be addressing that soon. The TV page also needs some WORK.
