Rainbow After Rain
It was like a storm. a raging hurricane for 428 days, except I couldn’t run, I was stuck, Nailed down in what I thought was a coffin. Day one felt like a dream, a wonder, yet it was fabricated. I ignored all the warning signs and didn’t shelter myself and prepare for the oncoming storm I could already feel and see. I sat there like I was clueless and let it destroy what I had built for myself.
The loss was sort of therapeutic, a means to start over I think. Being left to fend for myself and cover my damages. Though it left me scared and scarred, it reminds me that I am important even while sharing the earth with 8 billion others. There will always be a rainbow for someone no matter how small or strong of a storm comes first.
I am glad I found mine, though it’s not one thing replacing the one that caused the storm, it’s still my rainbow and it makes me happier than ever. If something makes you happy then stick with it. Give yourself the opportunity to find your rainbow no matter how many breaks and pauses you need to take. If you’ve been through even a single storm, no matter if it can be classified as a flurry or a blizzard, you deserve a rainbow.
Find your rainbow after rain.
