I read your post about your needle difficulties. My little brother(he's 15) hates needles. It's not a phobia, he just really doesn't like him. And my parents allow him to get the mist stuff, because it's easier for him and faster. So your parents forcing you, who has a legit needle phobia, is mean and completely unnecessary and unhelpful. I'm sorry you're having this problem.

I've had a needle phobia for YEARS now, and it only gets worse as I get older. Last year I spent 10-20 minutes crying in Walgreens before a flu shot :(

I did research on it and it says "an assumed 10% of Americans have this fear, but the number is thought to be larger due to those who refuse medical treatment all together"

And apparently out of the 4 categories of needle phobia/trypanophobia, I have vasovagal (being afraid of the sight, thought, or feeling of needles or needle-like objects) although it's only for needle-needles. Sewing pins, tacks, anything needle-like in shape doesn't bother me, but needles freak the FUCK out of me and I hate the pain and idea and ughrflknw

hey, just so you know, my friend has this one genius way to feel better about herself. basically she writes down all the things she likes in a little notebook when she's feeling happy, like specific species of flowers or certain colors. whenever she's feeling horrible she opens up that little book and reads what she wrote. it makes her feel a lot better and i just thought it'd be a great thing for you to do too. we anons care. <3
