Sent off this little Rainbow Lorikeet I sculpted and painted to Australia and he arrived safely! That in it of itself is impressive, but the reception he got from his muse, Koa, is so precious. I couldn’t be happier. Best customer review ever!

Bird no. 372. Tranquil. . Today I felt profoundly peaceful. I feel like my cup is finally full and I'm ready to pour into people and things again. . It's interesting how you can only freely throw yourself into other people's itches when your own have been scratched. . This month really took me by surprise - I didn't know why I was having such a hard time, and I didn't think it would take me so long to feel grounded again. At the time I felt like I experienced the stress because I deserved it, but looking back, I can see that stuff was objectively hard and it took a lot of energy. My tranquility was rightfully lacking! . When you're overwhelmed, it makes sense to be tired. It makes sense to feel big feelings. It makes sense that your will power isn't cooperating. It makes sense to struggle, even with stuff you've had lots of practice at. . I've finally regained the grace to forgive myself for taking a little longer, for taking up more space, for taking a nap - things I flog myself for when I'm under stress. . One little step at a time and before you know it you'll be looking back on it.
