3D Shapes
Munchkin is getting better at her pet shop so much so that she can do it in under 20 minutes if she has 6 customers (max number) that day. Because of that we can explore other math concepts. Today we worked on 3d shapes and some critical thinking. I got the plastic shapes at a used homeschool book sale. Sorry I don’t know the brand or where to find them. I set up the activity like this: (note the colors don’t match up)
We did the cone together. After that...she was left to think. (As usual I was available for assistance if needed.) I love being a fly on the wall. There were times she cheered for herself on difficult shapes. Once she completed her task she called me over. I then gave her a camera to take pictures of her awesomeness. These are the pictures she took:
Next on the list...drawing 3d shapes! Busy girl...busy day!
