Felicity had a slight passing out episode, so Philip decided to stay the night to make sure she was okay...
The next day, Philip showed up on Felicity’s doorstep once again.
“Oh. Philip. I was just enjoying the flowers out here... You did a great job, you know.”
“...thanks. Look, Flick, I’m sorry about last night.. I just...”
“Forget it. We’re just going to need to work through this in a hamlet of this size, though.”
“I know! I just got scared; there’s nowhere to hide if this goes wrong this time.”
Philip took Felicity’s hands in his, and she responded by kissing him passionately.
“Who says it’ll go wrong this time?”
The first of these residents was a bold woman, possessed with a charisma that seemed unique to her. With brazen red hair and circular specs, she was a dab hand around the house, not wanting to rely on anyone else to fix her plumbing... but her friends all joked about her ‘black thumb’ as she lacked any skills in the garden. Consequently she could never have moved out of the city alone, especially not to somewhere so secluded. She knew she was going to miss her technology, her social media and her games consoles, and okay maybe the place was a little... messy at the moment. Partly thanks to her inability to clean up after herself. But Felicity Rainey knew that this was her new mission in life - to make Kingfisher Grove a home for her and her friends.
Felicity baked a little victoria sponge - not that Jasper would be able to eat it yet, of course - and the small family blew out the candles together the celebrate Jasper’s growth into a toddler.
Felicity had a suspicion that Philip thought their relationship was the latter... He left before the dawn broke, without another word to Felicity about where he was going.
The problem with a small village like Kingfisher Grove? It’s kinda hard to avoid your one night stand when you’re the only people living there.
“I’ll just plant a few tomatoes in her garden... maybe she’s not eating enough fruit and veg. She’s definitely not growing it for herself at any rate!”
The wedding was a wonderful evening, but there was no time to stop for a honeymoon for Felicity and Philip! Philip was up tending to his tomatoes by dawn the next morning, leaving Felicity to get Jasper up for his big day... His birthday!
There were only two guests at Felicity and Philip’s wedding; firstly, Ginger Hawthorne, wearing a pink, floor length v-neck gown. Ginger was an aspiring artist who knew Felicity before the move; she had hoped that moving to somewhere so secluded would inspire her, and the new settlement of Kingfisher Grove could be her new muse.
The second guest was a newer acquaintance. Corrigan Hilton owned a small gardening business in the nearest city; since she had discovered it, though, something kept drawing her back to Kingfisher Grove, and she was contemplating making the move permanent.
