➥ amy favourite alt vocal is definitely gekkou / moonlight! i am obsessed with his vocals in it. i am nothing if not a sucker for harmonies <3

#i haven’t listened to any alt vocals that are still JP-only #i think we got fuel and cr詠zy alts #which cr詠zy is already my favourite akito comm so that does seem promising #and a fuel alt has the potential to endear the song to me #which i think is actually what happened with moonlight. iirc i didnt think much about it until after i got his cover #at which point i called it my fav comm for a bit #until i decided to split the difference and say cr詠zy for fav comm and moonlight for fav alt vocal #oh and shoutout to airhead / garando bc i will not listen to any other version of that song but his cover #i think i have a tendency to prefer sekai versions over covers just bc i really like multiple vocalists / harmonies that much #so the solo alt has to either be particularly good or i have to be turned off from the sekai version for me to prefer the solo alt #i also have a theory that people have a tendency to be biased towards the version of a song they hear first.#and i'm almost always introduced to songs by their sekai version #akito posting #rainfallstormcloud #and thank you for the ask <3 #i love an opportunity to talk about shit lmao #asking for akito

what are your thoughts on the hana ni kaze cover...

➥ i don’t know the popular fandom opinion on it, but i like it. strictly speaking about the vocals / sound here. it’s not like super stand out for me. i don’t want to say it’s not good, it’s just that there’s a lot of other vbs stuff i’d rank above it. i’m always a little iffy with toya’s higher vocals. i don’t think they’re bad, just that i tend to prefer his voice in lower octaves and he doesn’t always get to do it.

➥ i’m also a person where pjsk introduces me to most of these songs, so i do sometimes think having one or the other version be the first one you heard biases you to it. honestly it’s pretty back and forth on whether i prefer the cover or original.

➥ mainly it’s just one of those songs where i like listening to it now and then, but it’s probably never going to be an on repeat kinda song. it’s also possible it needs time to grow on me. i wasn’t much of a fan of some stuff like gekkou / moonlight and rekka / blazing at first but they’re both songs i adore and do play on loop now.

➥ i also thought the MV was really fun! i think i have a post from that coming later this week!
