How about a four player session with a Knight of Time, a Rogue of Breath, a Bard of Light, and a Prince of Space?
It’s been a long time and I know I’m starting with recent, short ones but I’m going to try and get back into the swing of things this way.
Alright so on the basic ‘Is this session winnable?’ Checklist you hit all three points, you have a Time and Space player, you have no classpect doubles and and even number of players for Dream-moons and ectobiology. You do have a shot.
However I see SEVERAL problems straight off the bat. Knight as the Time player, a Bard in session and a Prince of Space in a session already on a Time limit. Thank God you have a Rogue of Breath, these guys will need to be kept on track and a ‘redistributor of freedom’ is exactly what the doctor ordered to make sure no-one shirks off too much.
Let’s go through the problems one-by-one. Firstly having the Time player be a Knight. Knights only appear in sessions that lack their aspect in some way. For a Time player this has been canonatically shown to mean the countdown to the Reckoning is far, far, FAR shorter than other sessions. Literally only 1 day for our Beta Kids. Your Knight is gonna be a busy little bee to make sure everything gets done in time…And even worse I can’t say ‘Good luck with that’ because of problem no.2
Bard of Light. Oh God. ‘One who invites destruction of/with knowledge/luck/physical light’. This persons very existance in a session passively destroys their aspect. Your session will be left flailing in the dark, possibly both literally and figutively with a minus on everyone luck stat…Considering your on a time limit this one player mearly being in the session could mess your chances up entirely. They could also be the sessions savior however. They’re called the Wildcard Class for a reason. If they destroy the Enemies ‘Light’ before the Players then you have a shot. Other way round and you’re screwed. That’s that.
Final problem? Prince of Space in a session on a time limit. Normally a Prince of Space is a minor concern, they do always have a chance of deciding to destroy their Frog after all. But Princes also always appear in sessions with an abundance of their Aspect that the Prince is tasked with reducing. A larger than normal Medium/Planets in a session on a strict tiny time limit is NOT a good combo at all. Quests will take longer to complete from sheer extra travel/finding things time and that is time you do not have. The Knight HAS to get the Prince destroying this unecessary extra Space to lower this as quickly as possible. This will be made EXTRA tough by the fact Princes always angst over their role. You know what? Have the Knight and the Rogue double team the Prince. You’ll need to.
If you somehow manage to reach the Black King in time you have two offensive, one defensive and a support. For the love of all things holy keep those offensive alive and go hyper-offensive. you don’t have the time (nor any strategic specialists) for a drawn-out fight. Basically have both the Knight and Rogue on healer consumable duty and deflect what attacks they can from your two offensives and you should win…Barring the Bards passive poor luck creation biting everyone in the ass.
Overall, I can’t give this session a high chance at winning. The classpect combination is just asking for trouble. it’s possible. It’s just INCREDIBLY unlikely. I’d give you about 10% chance. That lower time limit plus bad luck/destroyed knowldeg PLUS extra space is not a good combo at all for winning.
