here to spread my rainshot (rainbeau x slingshot) propaganda. at forst, i only shipped them bc they were my favs, but then, i got more obsessed over these two. i can imagine slingshot made a delivery service for his cafe, and rainbeau, being the good and loving bf he is, is the delivery man. i’ve read like 2 fics about them too, it’s peak.

hi hi sai here i haven’t been on tumblr recently bc I’m very busy lolol but i saw the poll thingy i js wanna say ty to scykit anon and everyone who voted yes 🥹🥹 i won’t be offline forever but i will make sparse appearances from time to time (maybe)! also, just wanted to say that I’m kinda losing interest in phighting since I’m more interested in minecraft now so i might not be back for long :J

you guys get a bit more rainshot as a reward and a thank you ♥️

so rain is gonna propose to sling, but can’t find the perfect ring bc slings too good for all the rings they have at crossroads (sap), so they go to a friend of a friend who just so happens to know how to make rings.

rain asks them to make a ring in the shape of a cat, with the gemstone being a sapphire carved in the shape of a cat to fit right in.

it takes a while for the ring to be made, but rain doesn’t care because he’ll be as patient as he needs to for sling. in the meanwhile, he looks for a bouquet of flowers throughout crossroads and remembers that slingshot mentioned liking forget-me-nots, so he manages to grab a fresh bouquet of them before tending to them and placing them in a vase and taking impeccable care of them.

once the ring has been made, rain goes to retrieve it, and pays a lot of money for it, despite the other inphernal insisting that he take it for free.

rain gets everything set up, and asks sling out on a date where they first confessed to the baker, grabbing the ring and the bouquet.

once they’re there, they look around, but notice that sling isn’t there yet, so they start to worry, but before long, sling arrives, wearing the usual attire he would wear to one of the phights. he apologises for being late, to which they brush off and say that they just arrived, and the pair spends some time together before the big moment.

the sun is setting, and the world has seemingly gone silent, so rain decides it’s the best time to propose. they get down on one knee (cliché) and pull out the ring and bouquet, finally proposing after three years of dating, and sling can’t help but tear up at the sudden proposal.

he obviously accepts, and before he can even process it, he’s being pulled down to the ground in a flower field by the other, both giggling while falling on top of one another, and they just lie down there, admiring the sunset while tossing “i love you”s around.

a few days later, they’ve told their closest friends, and sling’s told his family. they plan a wedding together, in one month’s time, looking for outfits to wear in the meanwhile, deciding who’ll come, and laughing at stupid questions they give each other.

I’m back rn i’m taking a small break from studying while i eat lunch so here’s small rainshot snippets

so basically, yk how rain is tall? and sling owns a cat cafe? imagine one of the cats cling onto the upper shelves of the kitchen at the cafe, and slings trying to get it down, but it just won’t come down.

rain walks in and sees sling struggling while half climbing one of the stovetops, so they rush over to him and make sure he’s not hurt. they see that he’s annoyed, and he reluctantly explains that a cat is stuck, and he can’t reach it. rain asks why he can’t just persuade the cat to come down, since it can’t possibly be that hard considering sling’s half-cat anyway, but sling just denies his statement, saying the cat is a stubborn one that refuses to get down.

rain looks up at he place sling’s pointing at, and surely enough, there’s a cat, a white one, that’s perched on the top of the fridge, curled up and staring at them with dilated pupils. they reach out their arms, and gently, they tuck them underneath the cat’s arms, bringing it down. the cat licks at their face, as if saying thank you, and when they’re standing back up, they’re greeted with sling looking mildly pissed.

amused, they bend down slightly, looking at sling, smiling slightly. they tell him not to get himself or his cats into any more trouble, and flicks one of sling’s cat ears before landing a peck on his forehead.

also, me and my friend looked at the SPM (end-of-high school exams that determine whether you can go to college or not) timetable and saw the types of subjects, and safe to say, both of us are NOT making it to college. and i thought my finals was bad. ughrjsidjfn i have to go back to studying my 12 subjects nowjdjfjfkfkfjfj bai

also another rainshot thing bc i just had this idea

so this is before they start dating.

rain’s outside, trying to find a gift for sling because it’s his birthday. they’re really conflicted on what gift to choose though, because it needs to be perfect, and something sling wants too (totally not because they want sling to like them back aha…). they’re walking in and out of almost every shop in crossroads, but still can’t find a perfect gift.

unbeknownst to rain, sling’s also out, trying to find the perfect gift to get them for when he confesses. he’s asked shuri on what gift to get for rain, trying his best not to make it sound suspicious as he doesn’t want his roommates to find out he’s crushing on some random delivery person, but shuriken is useless at these topics. begrudgingly, he heads to vine staff to ask, who suggests getting rain a bracelet and a bouquet of flowers since she’s had a few times where she’s conversed with rain about his dream gifts.

so that’s why sling find himself looking across all of crossroads, trying to find the perfect bracelet. vine staff let him pick out some of her flowers for the bouquet, so it only leaves him with the bracelet. every jewellery store he enters, he can’t find the perfect one. just as he’s about to give up, he bumps into rain, who’s also suspiciously looking for a gift.

the two end up shopping together and find the perfect things for each other. the next day, just as rain’s about to text sling and tell him to meet up with them at his cafe, sling does it first, sending a message saying “hey, could u come to the cafe today?”.

when rain does go, they have the gifts in his bag, ready to give it to him. sling comes out of the kitchen, and before rain can do anything, sling pulls out the bracelet with a cloud charm and a bouquet of peonies. he then admits that he’s been meaning to confess for a long while now, but before he can continue with his long speech, rain bends down and lands a small kiss on his forehead, smiling when they pull away and see sling basically short circuiting. then, they give sling the present they got him for his birthday, a blue headband with a paw print on the front, which sling happily takes after he’s processed what happened.

just as rain was about to say something, sling interrupts them again and pulls them down into another kiss, and suddenly feels glad that he let vine and shuri take the day off so they didn’t have to see this.

the days after, vine and shuri notice rain walking into the cafe a whole lot more, and they’re really suspicious on why they’re so adamant on having sling as their waiter.

slingshot’s cafe has been more busy ever since more people have found out about through various sources, and since the cafe only has three employees including himself, sling and his roommates are forced to work harder than ever.

vine and shuri know how to limit themselves, but the same can’t be said for sling, which is why, when sling refuses to take a break and looks like he’s dead on his feet, vine and shuri have no choice but to call rainbeau to help stop him.

when rainbeau arrives, it’s already after hours, and sling’s the only person there cleaning up since he let vine and shuri go back home early. rain walks into the cafe and greets sling, who only mumbles out an exhausted “hi” back.

rain watches as sling’s sluggishly cleaning off the surfaces of the tables, before they sneak up behind sling and pull him into a hug from the back, dragging him to one of the chairs to sit down. sling, tired, takes a moment to process the fact that he isn’t on his feet anymore, and looks up at rain, who’s starting to clean the tables that he hadn’t done yet.

sling tries to stop them, he really wants to, but something in him is just telling him to let them do the work, lest he doesn’t get pestered by their worried arguments. after a while, he falls asleep on the chair right there, still in his work clothes and the headband he usually has still on.

when rain’s done with the cleaning, they see him sleeping, and decides to bring him back to their house instead of his apartment, but not without informing vine staff. now that they’ve told vine, they pick sling up in their arms and make their way back home.

when the two reach their house, rain rouses sling awake and tells them to change into their clothes, since sling doesn’t have any of his own clothes there and rain would rather die than make him sleep in his work clothes. once sling’s done so, rain lets him sleep against them, holding them close.
